I'd ditch Indy at first rumor of the entire 4 parts on blu. Star Wars...I'll take 1-6. But he needs to have both versions. Original theatrical releases and the newest cgi editions. That way , he pleases everyone. You can easily put both on a disk.

Who do they think they are fooling? There might be a couple here who wouldn't buy them, but then again, they probably weren't fans to begin with. The rest are just trying to be martyrs. |

The way I see it is he's just become so rich that he no longer feels he has an obligation to his fan base or the world of filmmaking.

I've never been able to come up with an explanation of the prequel films. The originals were done so well.. and if you watch the DVD bonus disc, Lucas obviously knew what he wanted and had many great ideas and I think that's what made the original SW films so fantastic. The prequels don't reflect any of the charm from the originals (except for lines they took, like "This is where the fun begins" and "I have you now"). I still can't believe Hayden Christensen was cast as Skywalker and the fact they inserted him into the ending of Return of the Jedi is unforgivable. ![]() I also attribute this to the fact that he's older and more set in his lifestyle. When he made SW, he was a budding filmmaker. |

Wish I could ban all the preq haters from Blu-ray.com for life for this kind of talk.
![]() This star wars absence from Blu Ray is a sick evil pure joke. Lucas needs a epic slapping to da face. |

I'd take original formats of Star Wars trilogy and Indiana Jones only. I'd take those converted to Blu-ray any day. It seems I've recently joined the club of Star "DVD" Wars fanatics that have been so battle scarred from enemy Lucas, screwing us over so many numerous times. I've been lucky enough to do the research before I bought the movies, I have the recent original trilogy set that is the only one that offers the unaltered films, and they aren't even enhanced for widescreen tvs!!
It's really a damn, damn shame because the real star wars films, the unaltered versions are contained on each movie's "Bonus Disc" as if the original films were just a bonus. The truth of it is the cgi enhanced ones are supposed to be the real bonus, not the actual films themselves. Last edited by Venus HeadTrap; 01-24-2009 at 09:24 PM. |

ABSOLUTELY!! The DVD of THX 1138 is excellent, and the changes Lucas made didn't bother me at all(with the exception of the little monkey creatures in the outer shell-didn't get that). I watched the DVD and the old VHS copy back to back a few months ago,and it is staggering how much of a cleanup job they did on the DVD.It would look stunning on blu. American Graffiti is my favorite film of Lucas's,and I would love to see it on blu.The DVD looks decent, but not stunning. It could use a restoration and a few new bonus features.(would LOVE to hear a Lucas commentary) |

Some of you guys are prequal haters! lol I liked Star Wars Episode 2 and I loved Episode 3. The first one? Didnt like it. Didnt really like 4, liked 5 and 6. That being said I want them all on Blu. But Lucas is just making us wait thats all he is doin and he's laughing about it to.

Personally I really enjoy II and III. I don't hate or even dislike Lucas like a lot of people seem to,but he seems pretty oblivious to the fact that so many people hate the prequels. |
