The lenticular cover is awesome and I'm not a packaging person. And, BU has figured out how to avoid too-tight lenticulars like they had on their Zombie release (lenticular is so tight you have to be careful removing it).

Don't mind spending more when you know it's getting you a superior result (4K scan).
Especially like how they handled the poor encoding done on previous releases Amsterdamned and The Lift with a prompt recall/replacement with corrected encoding.

Hope BU does a 2k or 4K on Inferno. I still have their previous version.

I would rather have BU lose rights to Inferno and hope Synapse would go for it. Reason: I want a 4K for Inferno, and BU isn't doing 4K at present time. Especially after Suspiria getting one. I think I would never be satisfied with an Inferno remastered BD, at this point. Not to say I wouldn't buy one if one was released.

My only gripe with their packaging is that I don't like the stacked discs. I wish they'd use a tray so you don't have to take one disc out to get to the other.

Minor grievance though.

I agree! But, like you said, it's a minor complaint. Swinging trays do tend to break easier though in packaging or shipping though.

I just switch the bonus disc to the soundtrack CD spot, and put the CD under the movie BD, since I will never play the CD.

I will on youtube and/or spotify. If not, I could just rip the CD to my PC and phone, then I won't need to use it anymore.

EDIT: I see someone was nice enough to upload the soundtracks to The Hitcher(1986) and Psycho III on youtube! Both are very hard to get!

Nothing beats an actual, pressed CD.

You can save a Blu to a hard drive or flash memory also, so yeah, coaster for that one also.

It's relatively easy to rip a CD in lossless quality, and the files take up little space. Then you have the freedom to add the music to mobile devices and so forth. I also love physical media, but I understand how a CD could become useless after ripping it.

I only need physical media for movies.

I actually prefer digital and streaming for music, especially since it's only audio. Haven't bought a CD in many years now.

I don't miss playing CDs and having to worry about skipping, them getting scratched up etc. I can't count how many times I had to replace a lot of my albums over the years. Thankfully those days are gone for me.

I don't know what you guys think, but the remastered version is absolutely inferior, unless caps-a-holic somehow switched all their screenshots.

They have differences in appearance...the old is softer in that shot, and the color timing is different. But the new is superior in PQ. The old release was not bad, it has held up well, but the new beats it and I had to go back a second time to A/B discs to be sure.

Pics in link are correct.

I have to admit that the color timing in remastered version is something that I definitely wasn't expect. I mean look at THIS. The whole damn sky is green, for christ sake. Same goes at least with picture 12. Well, I like the old one now at least as much as the new one.

Maybe the director's idea?

Hmm... Despite the predominance of green in those caps the sky looks like blue to me, unlike in the previous release, where it looks more grayish, in line with the overall magenta tone. The new one looks more in line with BU's latest 4K remasterings, like Zombie or The New York Ripper. Maybe a bit heavy on the contrast, but still preferable, in my opinion.

Really do NOT like the color timing on many of those screen shots.

I have the 88 Films UK version... I wonder if their color timing is the same.

I'm not the biggest fan of this film, but I was going to get the BU edition but now... the differences in color is not impressing me at all. Also some shots look a bit zoomed in.
