Best Buy has the Holiday Pack (Christmas Vacation/A Christmas Story/Fred Claus) for $19.99 on the web site. Not sure if it's a mistake or not, since everywhere the WB packs on blu-ray are $29.99.

I price matched it at Future Shop. Works out to about $7 a movie.

Whoa! That's a sweet deal and believe they screwed up as the DVD set is $19.99. I will look into this.

Thanks.

^ Yeah, some of the DVD and BD packs with similar titles (Holiday/Classics/etc.) have a different disc title in them, sometimes 2. $20 for the DVD packs, $30 for the BD packs here.

You sure ain't kidding, the Christmas titles aren't cheap. They haven't been, before Christmas, at WM for the last couple years. After is a different story... I've *still* never seen A Christmas Story...

I also picked up the $20 Starship Troopers trilogy, even though I think they're awful movies lol. Hell, I paid like $15 for Troll 2 BD...I sort of collect bad movies, most are only on DVD so far.

No. All deals and movies must be discussed in 1 of the 5 permitted retailer threads (walmart, FS/BB, Amazon, and Amazon UK, HMV) Separate thread topics that are actually descriptive have been suspended indefinitely. :-)

You thinking the captain of the Senators? LOL!
Daniel Alfredsson is the captain of the Ottawa Senators. Daniel Alfredson is the producer of the Dragon Tattoo movies.
i know who Alfredsson is i didnt realize he had something to do with the movies

edit: just noticed the spelling difference so i'm going to assume they just have very similar names lol

I can't read French, anyone know what the exclusive for Super 8 is? It looks like it has a different cover and doesn't include the DVD and digital copy. Rabbit can you confirm this from the flyer?

The exclusive is that it's a 1-disc only version. The one next to it for $1 more is the 2-disc version with DVD.

hey spawn, goofy answered for me guess it's a paramount/walle world thing? similar to DOTM 1-disc with sentinel prime on the cover anyway, super 8 $5 off coupon is active just hope retailers won't fuss over it as it's not advertised on wm, fs, bb, hmv, tru ads. whereas disney promotes the heck outta vouchers bad experience from bertbuy way back when they rejected TS1+2 coupon, 'cause the CSR was uninformed about 'print your own coupon.'

Does walmart have the the same PM policy as FS and BB where they'll beat the price - 10% of the difference?

So I was at Walmart last night and saw a new display of BDs there that weren't there before.

Included were the SUPERMAN boxsets, and BTTF boxsets and others. They all looked like decent titles, but I had to take a double-take for some of the prices (high!).

What is with WM and their high prices lately? Unless they are getting ready to cut them all by 50% on Cyber Monday or something.

The Wal-mart at Uptown in Victoria has the following:

Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy (the one with the T-Rex statue) for $84.99. Price match at FS for $83.49 (FS has it for $99.99 regular).

Planet Earth - The Complete Series LE (the one that comes in a globe) for $64.99. Price match at FS for $60.99 (FS has it for $85.99 regular)

Great deals for gifts (still too much for a personal purchase IMO).
