This is categorically inaccurate. I've edited enough video on my own pc to know that once you have a base master, anything at a lower size/quality level is just a matter of adjusting the settings and pressing the start button. With the proper encoding settings, compression and audio settings remain virtually unchanged. Digital mastering completely changed the rules.

It's only a matter of the studio wanting/willing to re-issue it at multiple quality levels.

Watched the first 10 minutes.

Yup, Fox is KILLING it right now. Another excellent new presentation, clearly a remaster from the ground upwards.

Grain is apparent, natural, fine and pleasing. Textures and clarity are impressive.
Terrific colours and use of HDR. And the remaster looks pristine, with no signs of print damage.

It’s on the same level as the first movie. I haven’t watched this sequel in some time, I might need to settle in and watch the whole thing.

Sure, *you* can do that but that's not how a new disc master is professionally handled.

It's a quote from the movie. It's most assuredly a good thing. You're a late '80s Carl Weathers, right?

Definitely will be picking up the trilogy, but I am going to wait for a sub-$30 price. Didn't the Apes set just go for like $25? So yeah, let's see!

Alright, I was only going to get PREDATOR. Canceled the reservation and am going for the three-pack.
I like Predator 2. I like it enough to justify paying $47 for the first and second movies.
Predators, to me, sucks. Buuuut.... it might have pretty looking leaves and skin tones, so it might be worth looking at for curiosity's sake.

It is if you are not going to watch it! The first Predator movie is the only one I personally would watch several more times, so spending $20-30 on one movie you will watch a bunch is much better than spending $50 on a movie you will watch a bunch, and two movies you won't. Same reason I didn't buy the MIB set or the Jurassic set.

Got my preorder in for just under $44 shipped. Less than $15 a movie is a fine price for me.

Can anyone confirm that this is the 4K version from Best Buy? The cover shows a photo of the 4K and the price is inline with the 4K pricing. However, the description and details say DVD. I called Best Buy and they can't confirm whether or not it's 4K, no manufacturer part number or UPC. However, they also believe it is 4K.

Nobody here is going to defend Predators? I remember feeling that it was mediocre back in 2010, but not unwatchable.

What are you going to do when they charge much more than that for the eventual Batman box set on 4K that has not two, but 4 movies that were made in the 80's and 90's?
