I know people that have up to 32 indoor and outdoor cameras with night vision with 24 x 7 DVR recording. People think twice before breaking in when there are video cameras.
We had an alarm at our last house and didn't think it necessary in our new neighborhood. Needless to say, we have an alarm system now that took all day yesterday to install. Wouldn't mind the video surveillance system though. Definitely will have to get it when I finish the basement and make it into the home theater room.

The good news is your lost your panel before every 9g was gone! That would just kill me to know it couldn't be replaced.

Watching some bluray movies last night. I found that Source Direct (my default setting), the picture is slightly more neutral and less-noisy, as if there is less video processing. You'd have to look hard to find the difference though. From witnessing my neighbor's Oppo bd player on his Kuro and reading other bd player reviews on other websites all bd players deinterlacing is still inferior to the Kuro. I used Hot Fuzz as a test DVD on my Pio 23FD bd player and it produced noticeable jagged edges on the white Metropolitan Police logo on the character's black vest. Changing to Source Direct cleared up any artifacts and made for the best DVD picture on my Kuro yet. On some other DVD material (LOTR) I found the best image to be when the Pio BDP-23FD is upconverting and the Pio Kuro 151FD is deinterlacing. Bluray is stunning when the bd player is set to Source Direct and the Kuro is let to do it's magic.

The Pio BDP-320, 23FD, 09FD, and Marantz UD8004 ($2300) are all identical in picture quaity and were tested by ultimatevmag.com. So if you get the $165 Pio bdp-320 you are getting the $$2200 Pio Elite bdp-09fd and $2300 Marantz UD8004 for PQ.

All you got to do is put a little "NRA Gun Home Owner" sticker and security alarm sticker on your doors as a nice little deterrent.

There were actually Broadview (formerly Brinks) stickers on the windows and a yard sign in front of the house. They were from our previous house and we thought that it would be enough of a deterrent. Also, it was pretty evident that they were looking for weapons but, luckily, we did not currently have any.

Anyways, enough of that. I'm looking forward to the arrival of the Signature Elite!

Thanks for the info. That is why I got the 80 over the 83. With a dispaly this clean why waste the money on the processor from the 83.

I actually use to own a Pio bd-320 last year and gave it out of ignorance to my cousin thinking that because it didn't have an "Elite" logo on it that I wasn't getting the better PQ and SQ from it that I would get from the 23FD and 09FD Elite models. This was before I did my home work and read the reviews on different websites and I thought that "you get what you pay for" but in reality in the bd world it's sort of misleading and disingenuous how the companies make you believe that price is the determing factor on quality and it's not. If I knew a year ago that the Pio BDP-320 has the same exact PQ as the Pio Elite-09fd than I would have have kept the 320! I'm kind of obsessed with PQ as most of us bluray and Pio Kuro fans are and all this time I haven't noticed any different between the 320 and 23FD and that's why I started reading different review sites on these players. I been frustrated since.

I got the stand for my 101 yesterday. Not very impressed by it. It's the KRP-TS02 and it doesn't compare at all to the PDK-TS23 stand that I got for free with my 500M. The TS02 seems really cheap and flimsy while the TS23 was at least 10lbs more and had a nicer finish to it. Not to mention, the arms on the TS23 extend a lot higher so it is probably more stable.

I would also strongly consider an Oppo 80 or 83. Just throwin it out there. I use an Oppo 80 in source direct to a Pio 101fd and I'm hard pressed to imagine a better picture on blu or dvd.

Yes thats the other one im considering and Amazon has it in stock for 289 plus shipping and one of there vendors has it for 249 plus 3.95 shipping The speed would be nice but if I can get the same PQ with the Pio bdp-320 and only slower speeds Im pretty tempted . Ughhh decisions decisions.

The Pio 320 and 23FD were identical in speed, they are slower compared to the Oppo I seen at my neighbor's house. The Oppo is smoother when you navigate through the menu. When loading bd's the Pio is any where from 10 seconds to 30 seconds slower depending on the disc content. I do believe that Pioneer designed their players to work with Pio plasmas for best PQ. I'm willing to give up 10 to 30 seconds for that synergy effect. If you have a Pio bd player with Pio reciever and Pio Kuro they work great, that's what they're designed for. I wish I would have kept my Pio 320 for the cost/performance ratio factor. It's identical to the PQ of the $2300 Pio-09fd. I would just wait for the 2010 Pio bd players to come out. They'll be faster and HDMI 1.4 3D compliant.

I've never owned a Sony bd player so I can't give you an accurate description on their products.

Patience patience patience, wait for the 2010 Pio players to come out, we really want to read the reviews and we want people on here to test them and put them through their pace. We should have an official tester on here who tests them. Who wants that job? If I were you guys I would sell your older bd players for the new ones, that's what I'm going to do!

I've sold my stuff on:
