Says the title came from somewhere but it’s more of a “mood thing” and doesn’t want to explain the origins. He shares some interpretations he’s been told and thinks they’re all valid.

We though need to remember that Mr. Tarantino, for a lack of a better term is a "Hollywood BS Artist". That he's been playing the big-shot filmmaker since this film became a hit and started his career. So, he'll basically say anything that makes him appear as some sort of genius in the scene. It actually gave all us such great pleasure to see him have a meltdown when Disney released one of their films on the same week as one of his. It showed how entitled he'd become thanks to the Weinstein's and Disney.

Disney strong-armed the people running the Cinerama Dome to break their contract to show The Hateful Eight there in 70mm simply because they wanted Star Wars (which did not open the same week as his movie) to play in that room instead. Disney even went so far as to threaten Arclight with pulling access to the movie in every theater in their chain. Just plain dirty pool that he had every right to be upset about.

I am annoyed, bought this for Black Friday on Amazon and it had no slip, while a lot of other people here manifested that it still is around with slips.

Now I'm gonna have to begin a search for slips and it's gonna be tough and very annoying, since no one gives away those for cheap, they treat it like it's gold..

I am complaining because many, many, many people have bought the movie as well on BF and they all got their slips.

I too bought it on Black Friday expecting a slipcover. I didn't get one and I completely understand why and have no issue with it. Hell I don't get them on things I pre-order sometimes.

Slips for this shouldn't be expensive at all. There are tons out there (all dinged in the top front right corner too) and only just started to disappear. After BF my Best Buy finally got one without a slip. Now that could've been a slip grab and return which is sadly common here, or maybe it was new stock. Can't say for sure since too many *******s around here steal slips from BB and Wal-Mart.

I get being annoyed you didn't get one, esp. seeing others get it, but it is the gamble you take ordering this far after release. Happy hunting, get to it.

I am more annoyed at some people's replies. Though yeah it's also annoying hunting for slips. Not only because some people think they're selling gold when they sell slips, but because they don't come cheap; sometimes it's probably if not close to the price of the movie.

Depends where you hunt, although being in Europe you probably don't have many record stores that also carry used U.S. blu-Rays. I have one here that has sold me slips for a buck each. $2-3 at the pawn shop if the right person is working, wrong person won't do it at all.

Some slips are gold, but I doubt this will ever be one of them.

Yeah I keep them on if the cover art is different (and I like the slip art). Arrow's 12 Monkeys I kept it on, for example. Blackhat I won't because the new art is ass.

So how do we get the ball rolling and get them to make a replacement disc? I would assume to just email them, but I doubt they're gonna put in the money to fix it if only a few people email about the issue.
