Gave Drive-In #6, Gates of Hell/Psycho from Texas a watch tonight.

I was pleasantly surprised by Psycho from Texas. Entertaining and watchable 70's exploitation flick. Expectedly, cheap production and some scenes, particularly a long foot chase, are just laughable. Editing is choppy in spots, low-end sound effects & audio design. Average print source. The payoff? Linnea Quigley dancing nude whilst a pitcher of beer is poured over her head. Hahah. Priceless. I probably like this more than most/more than I should. If 70's flicks like this are your jam, blind buy with confidence.
While my main attraction to this release was the 'grindhouse' presentation of Gates, I found this to be a solid rewatch. It's what you would expect from a drive-in print. Colors are average and print damage scattered throughout.
The slip is a thing of beauty...overall a great 'drive-in' release.

Thanks Savage_Blu that was one of our best Drive-In releases and the only one that got a custom slipcover. Glad you enjoyed it.

Just saw the other day that Film Movement has released a double bill of Moonlighting Wives (w Naked Fog) as part of their ongoing Sarno series.

Curious what the differences are between between the two. Has anyone seen the DF version?

As far as the cover artwork goes, the stills used on the film movement release look nice, but the DF advertisement style art is far superior.

Fantastic news, I had assumed they killed that series. It's been the better part of five years since the last release. Definitely picking up their Blu to get a physical copy of THE NAKED FOG, but I'm doubtful MOONLIGHTING WIVES will look better than the Dark Force disc.

Still doesn't hold a candle to the BOG / Mako Drive-In release...Purely subjective of course.

I know you've done it in the past, but it would be cool if you rounded up a bunch of the older drive-in releases for your next sale. I'd like to get caught up on a few. particularly #1 to #5, and a coupe of the kung-fu ones.
Not to mention Teenage Hitchhikers, still kicking myself for not buying a copy.

We found the original negative which was in 35mm A/B roll and sustained bad water damage while in deep storage. Fortunately we were able to successfully do a 2K scan after which we had to discard the negative due to its poor condition.
