I figure life’s too short anyway to be depriving oneself of luxuries. Sure, you can add a few years to your life, the last few years are the worst though with so many potential obstacles. I would rather live until I’m 65 enjoying food rather than live until 80 but deprive myself of such things.

Watched a few episodes of The Twilight Zone this evening my friend. Had the Family over for fish and chips. Hope you enjoyed your evening.

With those three, it's phenomenal. People can be under the impression that you are depriving yourself but that's not true. I don't eat less, I just eat less frequently. Now if I snack or drink something I am not supposed to, then that's fine. I usually sneak in a snack or beverage as part of my main meal as opposed to snacking throughout the day, which spikes insulin. Insulin resistance is the destroyer and what makes people unhealthy.

Yes, true enough. Look at what the government and the mayor are doing about the pollution in London - extra tax on certain cars on top of a congestion charge (another form of tax)......like that's going to suddenly produce clean air.

True. I have utter contempt for our government. Maybe because I was born in a industrial town.

When I bought six Blu-rays from a local bargin shop business earlier in Dublin. Two of them came with codes for Google Play/Youtube Movies. I had tried to watch them from the Google Play app but it didn't happen as this app had apparently stopped working a result of a sign-in /synchronisation error. It's really strange though; they work great from Youtube Movies without any issue. Any know the reason for this issue?

Two of the Blu-rays I bought today came with some nice slipcovers. The really beautiful one came with Railroad Tigers starring Jackie Chan. For only paying €3 for a brand new copy of it; it was a great bargain. The other good one came with the 3D version of Dawn of The Planet of The Apes.

There are definitely some misconceptions when it comes to both Keto and intermittent fasting. 2 out of 3 for me. I’m a merchandiser, so my job is quite physical at times and I’m always moving. So by the time I get home it is around the time my fasting ends. If I get home at a reasonable time, I might take a walk around the neighborhood to loosen up from my day. Speaking of which, going to get back to The Mrs and I’s Parks and Recreation mini marathon courtesy of Netflix

Do you by any chance have the YouTube app on any of your home theater devices Dublin? If so, sign in under the same account as your Google+, scroll down to the library icon, then click on purchases and your movies should be there too. I very rarely use it, but it shows a couple of my early SD movies in HD. Let me know if that helps.

I can afford to buy many discs because I work damn hard. Why should hard working people be crippled because they want a few of life’s luxuries? Will the government be living on portion of meat a week? Will they ****!
I get the frustration, but I think it is a bit misguided. It is not about control but economic reality.

the population pyramid on the upper left might work well because the yellow part (workers) is bigger then the orange (retired), but if it is closer to the population on the bottom right the yellow part is way too small for the top heavy orange part. And so there are 6 options (all of witch would PO people)

economic
1) do nothing (easiest, but this means a larger deficit and rampant growth of debt and so not long-term viable)

2) get more money from the yellow (and /or blue and or orange) aka raising taxes or adding some taxes

3) lower services (and then people complain "my road sucks, I can't live on my pension.....)

change the pyramid

4) make the yellow part taller ( either by lowering the age where kids can start to work- limiting those people to low wage jobs, or delaying retirement)

5) make the yellow bars wider by opening immigration to people of working age (short term fix because when they join orange that will make it wider as well, also you get people that complain that immigrants are taking jobs, plus most of the industrial world is top heavy, so it is easier to recruit from the developing world and then the bigots complain about porous borders)

6) (only for dystopian movies) make the orange part smaller (aka kill off people over a certain age)

Disc-less consoles do tend to skip disc support!

Only joking.

It was well known they were going to do that. Imo, both true next gen consoles will both have 4K disc playback.

Punish the working class, make the rich richer. Please don’t tell me any different.

Just to be clear, and before someone starts saying that this is another manufacturer to drop 4K disc players, the other models of the Xbox One with a 4K disc drive remain, the regular One S and the One X.

It looks like this is just a stripped down cheap model, the so-called "all-digital" edition-go figure

Don't they know that everything is all digital?

Sorry, just couldn't resist.

Considering the discless xbox is around $250 it's not cheap at all when the bundles with the standard Xbox One S are less than that generally. It wouldn't surprise me if the new console flops massively. It's a while ago but the PSP Go was considered a failure at the time.

Not so much cheap as in price, but as in cheap for what you get. Microshaft passed little, if any, of the savings from deleting the 4K disc drive to the consumer here.

Such a deal indeed! Pay about the same and get less for the money. Woot!

I'm not sure about the US but in the UK you can get a used One S for £120- £150 which is $150-$190. Add to that the back catalogue of used games on the market the digital only console just doesn't make sense. Even if you genuinely don't want disc based games you can buy the standard console for less and just not use the disc drive.

In the US a used Xbox One S is about $150 and new ones are often on sale for $200 (and about $150 on Black Friday). The disc-less system isn't even smaller, there is literally no advantage to buying one.

At least it's accurately advertised... Xbox One SAD. No one can say they didn't get what they paid for.

There is no game pass offered with this new console either which is another big surprise from MS. This item was meant to be offering the rest of the games from Xbox for a monthly subscription. I will say that this is a console that is not guaranteed to be a big seller to many intended customers. Only offering 3 old games for free with no other free games in sight is a offer that sounds too good to be true.

Just to add a little Fodder to the subject, I was at Best Buy today and I didn't see any Laptops with Disc Drives. Also they had a real nice Gaming Machine with no Disc Drive!
