"DRIVE-IN MANIA CONTINUES: SEXPLOITATION 70'S STYLE-
It's the 1973 THE NAKED RIDER (aka ALL THE YOUNG WIVES) coming your way for the first time on Hi-Def Blu-ray from Dark Force Entertainment. It's going to be a HOT summer! (Filmed in Atlanta, Georgia) Another rare drive-in gem uncovered by DARK FORCE, the home of Cult Video!"

Maybe my favorite next to the Stingray slip (which I still need to grab). If you ever do a gorgeous slip bundle with those two titles- I'm 100% in.

Is it just me, or do the newer slipcovers that have been on releases lately look like nothing but pure laziness? This one is literally just a cut out of part of the cover, slapped on a plain white backround. Something that could be made in MS paint. A child could do this crap. Used to have cooler slips on his releases, as in the general designs, not talking about glow in the dark gimmicks and such. Not sure what happened. Not that I care anyway, I'm in full boycott mode of DF, but just something I've noticed with the slips for releases lately, so I figured I'd point it out.

I'll take pure laziness than the pure ugliness of slips that labels like VS and SF use lol

I can't say here on this thread I'm sure without my comment getting deleted or even banned. Which is dumb, because it's a good reason to boycott someone, if you have any morals anyway. I talked about it in the Scorpion thread. Not sure if my comment is deleted or not. Too lazy to look. Hilariously, I noticed someone made a thread about boycotting few days ago. Don't know who, and when I clicked on it, I wasn't "allowed" to view it. So I don't know what was sad or by who.

Well at least a bit of those have some effort put into it. Definitely don't like the ones that got a million things going on at once. Often times sinple is better to me, but this is a little too simple. lol

I still think he should've went with the Retro X version, which at least was something different and a conversation piece.
Yeah no thanks. I can make these myself. Maybe use some alternate poster/vhs/ foreign/etc art that's not the case art if avaliable and legal to do so? What's the Retro X version look like?

Does it have anything to do with Bill Olsen or is it just a morals issue?

Oh okay. Yeah I saw that. Thought you where talking about one for The Black Gestapo. That's pretty horrible too. Guess why put any real effort, if the slip fanatic suckers will just buy it anyway. Thankfully I'm not a slip nutjob. Some look really cool out there from various labels, but the ones with the same art as the case or lazy like these from DF, or got millions of things going on I don't care about as much. What's on the disc matters the most. To each their own though.

Are you kidding me Crow Killer? You have any idea the kind of work that goes into a lot of the Dark Force slipcovers? You think a child could design the new DEAD PIT 4K slipcover or HARD ROCK NIGHTMARE slip? We tried something different with the FINAL EXAM 4K slip with illustrated art which I thought looked cool but received an enormous backlash so we went back to the more conventional. Personally I hate it when the slip is the exact same poster art as the wrap. If you saw the new glossy FINAL EXAM and BLACK GESTAPO heavy stock slips in person I seriously doubt you would dislike them. They are pretty stunning looking and we have taken many cool promotional pics of them on display. But since a child can do these, I'll tell you what. We will let you design the slipcover on one of the next big Dark Force releases and if the fans approve we will go with it. Hopefully you don't get the same reaction as the Retro X FINAL EXAM slip. Let me know if you would like to accept the challenge. DEMON

I heard some of the things Walt said in that interview. He was not happy about the relationship I had with Banana Man. Which I found to be very peculiar. When Walt took very ill he was unable to travel to Los Angeles anymore. Bill had preferred to be in LA over Seattle and I did everything in my power to try to provide him with an enjoyable stay including renting a 4,000.00 dollar a month luxury 2-bedroom apartment for him at the Legacy on Sunset boulevard. Walt wanted him back in Seattle where he was under the care of very expensive caregivers. Bill didn't want any part of that. But ultimately I became the villain. I'll speak more on it one day but it is still very difficult for me. I was was with Bill every day throughout the pandemic in and out of countless hospitals. He meant more to me than anybody and to have to watch what he had to go through was devastating. And with him gone has created a void that can never be filled. It was his wish though to leave Dark Force behind to wreak havoc no doubt. I will honor his wishes until the glorious day comes that we are reunited in a better place.

I'm weird, but I really like the simple image on a solid background look. The only one so far I don't really care for is Final Exam, which I've never liked that poster art to begin with, cutting the background of want going to make it any better for me.

Still think they look lazy dude. I mean you did have some cool looking stuff starting out and for awhile, but close around when the 4ks started coming, is when they started looking lazy. I mean The Black Gestapo is literally just part of the poster cut out and slapped on a plain white backround. Not something a skilled artist took time to make. I mean there's some slips from other labels I don't care for. VS's From Beyond gives me a headache for example, but at least a skilled effort went into that. Don't remember the exact timeline of your releases to pinpoint when it started getting bad, but around Hard Rock Nightmare. I'm not going to say I'm a great artist of drawing. My skills are filmmaking, video editing, coding, and some other stuff. I'm just comparing you to other small labels. If you yourself can't make good art or find someone that can, why not just use some alternate art instead like I mentioned before? I do know some actual good artists online and IRL, maybe I'll get a hold of them and see if they'll be willing to send you some examples.

lol really? Like it's hard to cut out a shape and paste it on a solid white backround. I'm sure most people don't know how to cut and paste and print out something huh? Black Gestapo literally took no skill. Not like someone took the time to draw from a skill they have to make it. There's other slips out there from other labels I didn't care for, but not once did I call them lazy or lacked skill, just not my preferred artistic showing. I mean if this is you and others idea of talent, I weep for those that actually have artistic talent.
