Was wondering if anyone has been able to figure out how to fix the dented Steelbook set outer-shells that houses the Steelbooks?

The internal padding seems to be glued in so it makes it hard to try and press out.

What do you all think are the chances that the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Criterion Collection, that comes out May 11th, will eventually be released as a steelbook? I really want to buy the Criterion Collection version but I'll hold off if it's gonna get a steelbook release.

If it does, it won't be on Criterion. Best bet for a SteelBook for FT@RH is from Zavvi.

The chances of Criterion releasing a SteelBook are not good. (Even though you would think they would get in the bandwagon since Scanavo is the company who makes the current cases for them.)

There is a better chance of Universal releasing their current BD with a SteelBook, sans the Criterion added features.

Also a better chance of Universal releasing a 4K SteelBook 3 years from now, since it is what they did with Do The Right Thing, licensed it to Criterion then release a 4K SteelBook release.

I’d say the chances of this being released in 4k after the Criterion version comes out are great and with that there is just as good of a chance you’ll see an accompanying Steelbook option from the likes of Zavvi and/or Best Buy when that happens.

This is very likely something like Crash for example where Arrow released it in the UK but it was a Criterion in the US. If Arrow did this, there is a chance of them releasing a steelbook also, but no guarantee.

Thanks for your responses, everybody. I decided to go ahead and pre-order from Amazon this morning since I don't think a steelbook will be released anytime soon.
