Got the lunchbox from Walmart today. Thinking about going to BB to get the 3D version with shirt. I've NEVER double-dipped on the same day. This is becoming an obsession...

Snagged my 3D lenticular w/Target-exclusive early this morning, and while I haven't yet looked at any of the bonus material, I'm perfectly happy with what I got. The argument of the DVD vs. Blu bonus disc is, to me, extremely immaterial. One poster brought up the Avengers bonus disc being a Blu-ray, so why couldn't JW's exclusive disc...only the difference being that the Avengers exclusive disc was an hour-long DOCUMENTARY, whereas the JW exclusive disc is an assortment of small featurettes clocking in at just over 30 mins; too little material to be expended on a Blu disc alone. I'm happy to be getting anything extra at all, personally.

I took a look at the round tins & the lunchbox at Walmart last night. The tins were sturdier than I thought they'd be, but it still didn't really change my opinion that they are an extremely poor packaging option, regardless of how user-friendly they try to go about it (i.e. the little cardboard tear-off standee fissured to the back). The lunchbox, however, was way better looking & feeling than they seemed, and I even considered snagging one for myself...but I'm on a budget, which sucks

Are you talking about the $69.99 gift set with the Tyrannosaurus rex vs. Indomins rex statuette? If so, it is supposed to come with the 3D tin:

Not sure if anyone has physically confirmed this yet, though.

Half of the T-shirts in the display at our Best Buy were still available at 11:30. The cashier said that the movies were moving pretty good but at least some customers must have been unaware of the free shirt deal. I had two coupons so I was able to get a 3D Jurassic World, a 2D version for my son-in-law, and two shirts for a total of less than $30.

Bought the standard version from Wal-Mart for $17.96 after I found out that the lunch box was $24.96. It just wasn't worth it IMHO.

Standard 2D and WM Lunchbox Exclusive are both $24.XX CDN so Lunchbox was a no brainer.

It should have been $18, you probably arrived before they updated the price. Also on Amazon the standard 2D was only $14.99 after gift credit, which is what I went for. I doubt the Target disc has anything on it I would care about.

I went ahead and got the 2D Target exclusive in the standard case. I'll return my Amazon pre-order that arrived with a damaged slipcover anyway.

I'm one of the few that really likes this tin. It's a different look, it goes well with the round logo and the quality is pretty solid.

Truly not trying to be a smartass, but it’s worth mentioning, especially to those who are double dipping and buying the Best Buy version to get the t-shirt, that there are a bunch of other Jurassic World t-shirts out there, including similar t-shirts with just the logo (and other more elaborate ones), including several sold at Walmarts and Targets. If you’re just buying any version and choose Best Buy to get a free t-shirt, that makes sense. But if anyone is buying that set solely for the t-shirt, there are better and cheaper shirts out there.

True. And Best Buy also sells the t shirt as an individual purchase without the Blu Ray.

Can anyone provide me or PM with the link for the "free movie" offer form the UV slip that came with this movie? I bought the code from a guy a few minutes ago, but not sure where to redeem the bonus movie offer.

Oh man, this looks better at home then it did in theaters...I loved the 3D. What a wonderful movie that breezes right by. I knew there was a reason I saw it 14 times in the theater.

Can't wait to see people's first reaction, that last 20 minutes is the reason we go and watch films on the big screen.

Enjoy everybody!!!

Can someone please tell me why there are no reviews of Jurassic World out on Bluray? I find it odd. Nothing on AVS forum, bluray.com or highdefdigest. Very strange.

I thought it was a great addition to the series! But....

*****SPOILERS*****

I went with about 10 of my friends on opening night, and it seemed half of their impression of the film went from a solid blockbuster to corny as shit given that ending...the whole "raptor and T-rex being buddy buddy to take down Indominus Rex"....I can't even tell you how many times they were bashing the movie when we left, and even a few weeks after we'd seen it, from that last 20 mins.

Still didn't sway my opinion though.
