Oh, ok.

So once you get your recv, (and new subs) let us know how it sounds (and I'd be interested if you like it better than the 663).

kurtlingle: Well for a few reasons. 1. being that I want something more powerful short of adding amps. 2. I want something that is 3-D capable because we plan on buying a new TV later this year (either a VT30 or a D7000 I hope). and 3. for Audessey MultiXT32, which from all accounts is amazing!

Now, I definitely want at least 1 more PA-120. What are your thoughts on doing a triple PA-120 setup? Or would maybe going with a PA-150 work? Just tossing ideas...
Agree with Big Daddy on this one. You want to run in pairs, so either two or four, unless you have an odd shaped room, them you might be okay with three. Ideally you want to buy a matching sub when possible, or a sub with similar output. I am afraid that PA-150 would overpower the PA-120 in your room but EQ could help. So another PA-120 seems to make the most sense.

Read this article for my ideas on how to incorporate multiple subwoofers:

So I had about 15 minutes with no wife and kids in the house tonight and I really gave the PA-150 a workout. Kung Fu Panda on BD was already sitting there so I slapped it in my BD player and went straight to the skidoosh scene.

WOW......

I don't know. I really need to drag my eD A2-300 up the stairs out of storage and compare back to back. The PA-150 is really impressing me. From memory, I don't remember the A2-300 having this much output and deep bass. I am really liking this subwoofer. The bass is not muddy. It seems pretty accurate and tight to me so far. I only have the gain set to 5. It has some big sound.

I really wonder what 2 more of these would sound like. 4 powerful subs with one in each corner of the room.....

Very tempting, especially if I can buy two more at $310-340 apiece.

I'm planning on joining the happy PA-120 family soon. I need a sub to finish of my 5.1 set up and because of bang for the buck I chose the PA-120.

I'm planning on ordering one in the next couple of weeks. I'll be adding a second at some point.

I'm diving right in when I finally get it.

Transformers, Ironman, Ironman 2, TDK, Inception, etc

I'll have to pick up Kung Fu Panda and War of the Worlds as well.

KFP, the "Skiii-Dooossshh!" scene is EPIC for Subs, as is the Alien Pods emerging out of the street at the beginning of WAR OF THE WORLDS. Your house/room might feel like it's on serious Vibration Mode.

TDK - When the Joker fires an RPG at the Batmobile in the chase underground (from a truck), again, Serious Bottom-End right there. Not to mention when the semi-trailer Flips in the middle of the street also. Inception; many scenes. Same for Transformers (both), & Iron Man 1 & 2. Also, 2008's THE INCREDIBLE HULK, when the Army is firing the dual sound wave blasters at the Hulk to slow him down (or stop him), Intense LFE there (nice long scene too). Enjoy!

BATTLE: LA I've heard is incredible as well, I'll prob. be trying that out sometime Friday myself.

You really only need to add as much as it takes to fill it up adequately, without Over-Filling it, from all I've read & heard here (from others). Good luck, hope it works out the way you want.

Yeah, I really have no idea what is "too much" BD said 1lb per 1 cf. I just added the sheet type polyfill I got at Wallyworld. Added some layers on the back in front of the amp, without touching the amp though. And then a little more on the sides. Ill see I guess.

Sounds good. I just put enough in to fill the "space" inside the enclosure. It seemed to be the right amount for both my Subs.

Oh, so you've done it too? I wonder if I should also. I always like to improve my setup (esp. if it's cheap!).

I got the GRAMMA for my sub and it certainly helped some of the window vibrations, etc - sounds even better now.

Of course. If/When BIG DADDY "suggests" trying something, it's usually a good idea to give it a try, I've found out.

Finding/buying Polyfill is def. worth the few bucks it'll cost you. The "Gramma" was prob. a great addition to your HT. I have the slightly smaller SubDude for my front PA-120, & built a similarly styled DIY one for my rear PA-120 Sub.

Yeah man. I actually did notice a difference tonight after adding the polyfill.

I watched "Sunshine". Love that movie. Anyway, I noticed the bass to be deeper, and a little more profound. Not by that much, but I did notice a difference. And yes a Gramma makes a difference as well. Adding a Gramma made my PA-120 sound cleaner, and less "boomy".
