I just learned about this thread and subscribed. Which retailers are selling Dark Force titles in Canada?

I'm very excited that Velvet Smooth (1976) is finally getting released on Blu-ray (whether it's officially done by Dark Force Entertainment or Film Masters)!

I kind of wish that this film was being properly restored for a release on 4K UHD instead though.
It would look baadasssss sitting next to my 4K of The Black Gestapo (1975) on the shelf.
Either way, I'm already 4 for 4 when it comes to Dark Force 4K releases so I can't complain too much.
However, I will say this :
The entire Blaxploitation genre is always criminally overlooked and unfairly neglected by the majority of boutique labels.
I've been told that Blaxploitation films don't sell very well on Blu-ray/4K which totally depresses me.

Who the hell is Film Masters? Never heard of it but can guarantee you if they are releasing it will be garbage to the Dark Force one. Why? Because we uncovered and have in our possession the original 35mm camera negative. We were planning single's edition HD release. Wonder how many would be interested in this one as a 4K release? Let us know what you think.

Interesting...we'll see how the consensus goes. Meanwhile BIG ANNOUNCEMENT from Dark Force tomorrow...the #43 Single's Edition HD release will be an ultra rare 70's violent kung-fu flick that HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON VIDEO! It's actually really good too. This exciting recovery will be announced tomorrow on our Facebook page.

I would like a 4K release of it as well. I think that would have the chance to sell even better than just a regular Blu, and it would certainly blow the Film Masters release out of the water
