Demon Dave, does Dark Force have the rights to Twisted Nightmare? Would a re-press of the OOP Code Red blu-ray be possible? Thanks!

I'm fine with the existing Julia Darling Blu. I won't be upgrading everything but please keep going through Code Red's catalog. Lots of gems in there I'm looking forward to seeing 4Ks of.

That’s a great disc from Code Red. The extra film on the set, Max-Out, is as interesting as the main feature. Both have commentaries too. It’s amazing how eclectic Code Red’s releases were on DVD.

I really do love it. The extras are incredible on the set, with hours of old footage of matches on it. I have the pressing with the plastic elevated derby track on the front.

Jason, the release you're describing is NOT the Code Red release of DERBY. The 3-disc set with the elevated banked track on the cover was a private release lovingly assembled by former Derby skaters and promoters.

I myself was an assistant for a minor Roller Derby league promoter in 1973. I can tell you that some of the stuff that occurred behind the scenes was even wilder than anything you saw on the track.

I see my screencap question went nowhere.

Anyways I got lucky on Ebay, scored these for $22 total.

Gates of Hell got too pricey for me.

What does everyone think about Primal Scream, The Banker and Yeti? Thinking of adding one or two of these to an order with Julie Darling. I don't mind cheese as long as it's the good kind

Oops! Well, nonetheless, it's a great set. And I'd buy an HD version.

I bet! Very cool that you were able to work in the sport for a bit. I love roller derby. Such fun stuff.

I picked up the 4k UHD of "Julie Darling" from the Dark Force store. I'm looking forward to revisiting this truly crazy movie.

Primal Scream - is a fun, watchable lo-fi sci-fi flick...I liked it. If that's your thing, $13.99 isn't a bad price for a blind buy.

The Banker....I watched it once and didn't really like it and was bored. YMMV tho. Site review has good things to say about it

Yeti - No dice, never seen it.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards Yeti, just for the total King Kong rip off that is looks to be~though it looks like there are copies floating around on ebay for that one. Maybe I'll go with the other two to get to free shipping. Man, I can't make up my mind tonight

Not to take anything away from the DF/CR co-release of Yeti, but Kino reissued a Code Red standard edition. Can easily be had for $9.99 from a Kino sale.

Was hoping for a Julie Darling/ Sinners Blood / Dandy bundle. Perhaps once Julie Darling is in stock.

Eh Dave?

I used to, but 1973 was a long time ago (50 years ago, I can't believe it). The stuff I used to have is long gone, now. I still have my memories, at least.

The 3-disc set does have DERBY on one of the discs, so I can see how you confused it with the Code Red release. Code Red's disc has exclusive audio commentary tracks with producer William Richert and director Robert Kaylor. Those commentaries are very interesting, although a couple of their memories about the sport were incorrect.
