As I said earlier, right now, TCU should be ahead of Bama. Bama's toughest teams are ahead, while TCU has played their rough stretch. If they both win out, Bama will easily pass TCU.

Super pumped TCU is in the top four, but they could easily get jumped. In fact I think Baylor passes them if they both win out. Lots of crazy stuff could still happen, maybe everyone in the top ten will lose again, ha.

Yeah, how the hell can Oregon jump us after losing to a unranked team at home and struggle to beat Wash St. I would have less complaints with TCU jumping us they had Baylor down by 21 and choke the lead away. This makes me think if we have close wins and stay undefeated we will be left out.

Really wins is one of the most overrated stats . You know who won a lot: Timothy Tebow. Here's a stat for you 16-11. That's TD to Int this season facing college defenses. He will be eaten alive in the pros.

I wouldn't draft Winston in the 2nd round. Dude is one gangbang from being thrown in jail for 20 years.

What was his stats last year when he had better weapons around him? So you going to throw out last year huh that didn't happen right. I hope you get your wish bro, only time will tell who's going to be better.

Oh you mean when he had the most talented team in FBS? I see a slow elongated throwing motion, crumbles when he is pressured, and his decision making can be suspect (11 INT ). Can he throw his receivers open, which is what will be asked of him in the NFL? I don't see it. Throw on top of this with his off the field issues, and I wouldn't touch him with a 12 and a half foot pole.

I watched that whole Utah game, and Mariota pretty much single handedly won that game in a hostile environment with one of the best pass rushes in FBS with a leaky OL.

People have to understand that ESPN is calling all shots now, as they paid billions for the rights to the next 12 years of the playoffs. I would view every decision regarding the playoff rankings through that prism. That is really the only way to understand how Oregon jumped to #2 over FSU and TCU got ranked ahead of Alabama. It is designed to create maximum discussion, because fans were getting bored with Miss. State at #1 and FSU at #2 every week.

Crumbles when pressured is a damn lie, he lead all QB's when being pressured last year. He is in a Pro style O with a bunch of inexperience WR's, so some of those INTs are not on him. What happen to Mariota when he played Stanford the last two years, got his ass shut down, he plays in a gimmick O. He will be just like RGIII show some flashes but be injured all the time. If wasn't for the off the field stuff you wouldn't feel that strong against drafting him. You better have an open mind Jameis might your QB next year like it or not Lol.

On plays with 5 or more pass rushers, Mariota is completing 76.5% of passes, highest for any Power 5 quarterback with at least 30 attempts.
lol you act like every game should be dominant performances by a QB. Stanford had his number the past two years. What happened this year? Just because he plays in a spread offense doesn't mean he can't run a pro style offense.... He's better than RG3 and Kaepernick. Injured? When has he been injured? Here's a stat for you 92-12. That's TD-Int in 36 games. Winston has nearly more picks in 8 games...

I've already said that I'm putting all my Jets gear away if we draft him and I will root for the Jags or Bucs or just watch the NFL in general until he's off the Jets. Don't want him anywhere near the Jets. He has bust written all over him.

Your biased because he's still QBing your team. I hope the Ducks play the Noles, so I can see Mariota wreck the Noles.

Let's agree to disagree, so you can go finish having your wet dream about Mariota. The thing is I'm a fan of Mariota too and I will root for him and the Ducks if my team is not in it, but for you to keep trashing Jameis
Every chance you get is uncalled for IMO.

Should I have said rapist? Or thief? Or perhaps degenerate?

Didn't anyone teach Jameis that you have to buy one to get one free at Publix. Maybe Roger will suspend him next year and he'll come running out of the tunnel wearing his uniform

ChadFL cherry picking a stat that favor the SEC? Wow, we've never seen that before.

TCU played 5 teams that were ranked, 3 top 7s.

Alabama has played 3 teams ranked, zero in the top 10.

But you know what? Screw the rankings. Are you really telling me that LSU, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss, Alabama's toughest three opponents, are that impressive of a schedule this year? Especially since they lost to Ole Miss?

I don't care that your current favorite RPI-style bullshit SOS says that Alabama has played a tougher schedule.

Unless you are a total SEC homer you can't look at the schedule and say Alabama's has clearly been tougher.

I have to think that if both TCU and Baylor win out then Baylor will jump TCU. Right now TCU beating Minnesota looks good but there's a very real chance Minnesota loses out with remaining games vs. Ohio State, at Nebraska, and at Wisconsin. Right now TCU has the more impressive resume than Baylor because Baylor hasn't played Kansas State yet, but Baylor and TCU end up playing virtually the same schedule, with both teams playing the other 9 conference teams, SMU, and an FCS team, so the only difference is TCU beat Minnesota whereas Baylor's third non-conference game was at Buffalo. I can't imagine TCU's win over Minnesota is enough to overcome Baylor's head-to-head win over TCU.

What I wonder is what would happen if what would happen if Mississippi State beats Alabama this week then Mississippi State loses at Mississippi and loses in the SEC title game. That scenario is pretty unlikely but not impossible. Is it really possible than no SEC teams could make the playoff?

Here are the teams CURRENTLY TCU and Bama have played so far this year. Seems you're going by where their opponents were ranked back when they played, which is misleading because early season polls are often off by a mile. Sorry bro, but TCU has played just two teams ranked in the top-25, same as Bama. Oklahoma and Oklahoma St. ended up vastly overrated early in the year and are not even ranked anymore. The Big 12 just isn't a very good conference this year outside of TCU and Baylor. And yes, Alabama's schedule so far has been more difficult than TCU's by any measure I can find. The SEC currently has more teams in the top-10 (four) than the Big 12 has in the entire top-25 (three). In any case it seems if both TCU and Baylor win out Baylor would slip past TCU for a playoff spot anyway considering Baylor has a harder remaining schedule.

TCU has played:
#6 Baylor (lost)
#13 Kansas St.
Left to play: No ranked teams.

Alabama has played:
#10 Mississippi (lost)
#21 LSU
Left to play: #1 Mississippi St. and #9 Auburn, plus an SEC title game most likely.

I think he's talking about how they'll fare in the pros. Do you seriously think Winston is going to be a better NFL QB than Mariota? I certainly don't. I think their skill sets are both sufficient to become very good NFL QB's, but Winston is a head case. It's one thing after another off the field what that guy. That's why so many of us strongly feel Winston will be a bust in the NFL.
