Attention all horror & exploitation film fans:

Dark Force Entertainment has recently announced an upcoming Blu-ray release of the truly obscure b-film The Beast And The Vixens (1974)!

Hell, this oddity managed to slip past even my radar until about six months ago despite being a devoted lifelong genre film junkie!
A very special "shout out" and "thank you" go to Jobla for bringing this flick to my attention finally over in the Vinegar Syndrome thread awhile back!

I'm sure there would be pros and cons, but I think his sales would be up and more people would have ready access to his entire catalog of releases 24/7 instead of sporatic windows when the store is open. He might even make more money in the long run? But I'm not an expert or an accountant lol

I really do think this is making a deal with the devil. I'm sure there's a deep cost involved, and I would personally hope this doesn't happen. TV seems to be doing very well without the oversight. I assume the initial exposure really helped them in the long run.

Shop is now open again. Mirror Mirror 4k with slip available to order as well as that Beast and the Vixens blu with the first volume of "savage tracks" commentary that I need to pick up. (Mirror Mirror will have savage tracks volume 2 commentary) Dave also mentioned over on FB that some titles will soon be available with DiabolikDVD as well. Things looking up for Dark Force!

Watched Chinese Hercules, Bruce's Ninja Secret and the new Shadow Fist Hunter yesterday. Had a lot of fun with all three movies, but the new transfer from the neg for SFH is really beautiful. Fun movie too, Yip Tai Kong may not be the most charismatic or exciting actor but he has a rugged charm a bit apart from HK/Taiwan leading actors of the time and the movie was really well made, up there with a Joseph Kuo movie, where it's cheap but you can tell the filmmakers knew what they were doing.

Excellent question Trekkie313. The GIANT SPIDER 4K release won't have those but will definitely feature the new brand of audio commentaries Dark Force has developed that we call DEMON DAVE & JOE'S "SAVAGE TRACKS" created to compete with Mystery Science and Rifftrax. Volume 1 debuts this month on the new Dark Force HD release THE BEAST AND THE VIXENS. If you are a fan of Mystery Science Theater and Rifftrax I think you'll love this new brand Savage Tracks that combines the usual movie info with some unscripted outrageousness and special guests.

I think I'm most excited for Drive-In #21, because it has My Pleasure Is My Business. I was looking for this online recently, and all you can find are vhs rips because it was never even released on dvd. Thanks to Dark Force for rescuing this rarity.

For those unfamiliar with it, it's a sexy movie that stars Xaviera Hollander, who is the author of The Happy Hooker series of books. I believe this is the only film she ever starred in.

Anything in particular stand out with these two kung fu movies? $55 seems a lot for movies like that in the imdb 4/10 range when arrow/88/shout are releasing cream of the crop kung fu at the same price
