So, could anyone give some advice on this?

Totally agree. I saw it in theaters and showed it to my wife last night. She agreed. We both cant wait for the sequel. They will be able to have so much more fun with it now that the storyline has been set.

Yeah, but one could argue you got the better cover art.

I guess no one cares about the large difference in colors I noted last night.

Which one do you think is more accurate? Mine or the site's?

My 2D disc definitely veers more towards the colours of the site's shots, but not as washed looking. I took this shot of yours:
http://postimage.org/image/xyhbihvlt/full/

I put it on a USB stick and put it into one of my PS3s. Because I have two linked up to the same set, I can A-B them quite easily and I can see the greener push in the blues from your screenshot, as well as the darkened blacks, but the disc doesn't tally.

It would certainly tie in with people saying that it looks too dark, when I think it looks fine. Two transfers?

Hope that helps.

Is it maybe possible that the screen captures on the site's review are from the 3D disc instead of the 2D disc like mine?

Maybe so, but it still wouldn't explain why my 2D disc doesn't look like your screenshots.

I've missed around with RGB settings and even swapped from one player to another and I still can't replicate the blacks and colour palette of your shots.

Tweak ur calibration/light/color. My TV is a sexy Plasma 720p and it was gorgeous. I was really worried from screenshots but it came out ****ing gorgeous.

That is extremely strange as the monitor I took those with has been calibrated.

I don't have any issue with how it looks.

Any darker, it'd be unwatchable, IMO.

Incidentally, I'm not running the US 2D disc, but the Dutch release.

A bit weird that the bonus disc is in MPEG-2, but hey-ho.

Silly me. This thread is all about the packaging. Even though there is a steelbook subforum & threads.
I watched some of the 3D version last night(with the volume turned down due to the late hour). It's pretty much the same as the theatrical experience. Most of the movie looks 2D with the 3D looking the best in the swinging scenes. I'm still glad I got the 3D version though since it came in the Worst Buy Steelbook packaging.

I got my copy in the mail today. The slip was a bit hard to take off, but not like the other stories I've heard on here about it.

I saw it on the shelf at my Walmart for $21.96, but when I scanned it, it rang up at $18.96. I saw the mask case version, but I didn't see the 3D version at all.

Maybe try refreshing the app (like double click the home button to see recently opened apps, and then find flixter there, leave it pressed with your finger for a few seconds, it should start to "wiggle" and tap on the red little circle with the white line in the app's corner then open flixter again)?

Anyone who did get the 3D combo pack from amazon(only the 3D combo pack), can you please tell me if the slipcase came with it. I would really appreciate it.
