Wow, just wow. They changed the framing for both movies (which also happened with the other titles in the "Mastered in 4K" line) and made Angels & Demons a little darker. Other than that, .

Casino Royale wasn't even finished at 4K, more to the point.

As for the latest comparisons, I think we all know by now that the titles with the most visible improvements look that way because they're entirely new transfers, and aren't just new masters from an extant 4K DI. That said, there's lots of little things going on with Angels and Demons, including a shot where you can see the actor's marks taped to the floor which were painted out of the regular Blu-ray version. The standard edition of Battle LA looks superb upscaled to 4K though.

I was gonna jump on MiB, but I just got the nice trilogy set. Of course that didn't stop me with the first 2 spideys. Perhaps I'll add that one too.

That Battle LA comparison is bad as all hell, that has to be the worst disc of this line, it loses detail and picture info!

I plan on getting Ghostbusters at some point, but that'll probably be it. I just bought Spider-Man (non 4K, the version with the ugly blue cover) so I wonder how much of an upgrade the 4K disc is. I really want the special features so I probably won't give the Spider-Man 4K disc a second thought.

I will probably grab Spider-Man I & II at some point. I might wait for a price drop on these, but I have been in the mood to watch them lately.

Hopefully, Moneyball no longer has the edge enhancement that the current disc has although it's still very good, overall.

Shouldn't we be hearing about the third wave of discs soon?

I've only really warmed to it recently, so I don't feel too bad about picking it up again. I've never owned a copy of it, before the BD and that was one of those £2.99 Swedish jobs, from ebay.

I keep buying it but never really know why, most recently as part of the trilogy BD set. I'll give it another spin one of these days. As for the M4K version, I think it'll get an upgrade like Spider-Man, i.e. it won't look stunningly sharp at first glance but it will look tighter and more filmic.

That's why Sony keeps re-releasing the same movies over and over again instead of releasing movies that have never made the jump from DVD to BD. You are their target demographic.

Dunno how likely a black-and-white movie will be branded as part of this line since Sony is touting "expanded color".
