Like I said before, whether Peters Quicksilver is fake or not, the multiverse is still involved somehow. Meaning, the MCU is acknowledging the Foxverse. It's not being meta for the sake of being meta for the sake of being meta.

Nope. Feige even admitted he thought it would be fun for the fans.

I know you're not completely serious and whilst the timing doesn't bother me personally, there are still rules which the audience expects the show to follow. You need everything to be as realistic as possible in a fictional fantasy universe if that's how it's been set up (the apes in Planet of the Apes should never be an issue, but if the humans from our world started doing super-human things it's against the rules of that universe).

So a couple of years may throw some folks out of their suspension of disbelief, others will just roll with it. It's slightly similar to Wonder Woman 1984 highlighting a song that was released in 1985.

In this case it's an oversight, used to propel the story, it's not a deal breaker and we've had pretty flexible timelines in the MCU, if the content is good, I'm not going to mind, but there are limits.

It is a no prize situation. All the movies in the case are bootlegs, ordered from the United States. Which is why he said he will be selling them, no one else has been able to get them.

All I’m saying is I doubt your casual viewer will automatically be taken out if they saw DVDs of shows that haven’t been released yet in the real world.

That’s some trivial facts you share at a college party. I mean hell, I didn’t even notice or bare any mind until you specifically pointed it out.

Again. Trivial.

You could be right, but I read some of the leaks. I'll just leave it at that. Again, I could be totally wrong.

Wait. Are you seriously questioning the legitimacy of debating, on this site of all sites, something such as when shows originally aired and were released on home entertainment? I know this show gets you hard, but that shouldn’t stop you from questioning things that don’t quite seem to make sense. We all know the score, superheroes, fake country yada yada, but as mentioned previously, on the face of it, there are pretty glaring flaws which link directly to the foundations on which the shows whole format is based on. If so, yeah that’s worthy of discussion. As I said in my previous post, it could well be that in the MCU shows aired / were released on DVD earlier than in real life. It could be down to Wanda’s hazy memories (although she was quite specific about which episode of TDVDS she wanted to watch), or who knows, it could be something else.

They could easily be Bootlegs of the series too. Malcolm looked like a 2002 DVD release and in line with her age. We are in what 2025 when End Game takes place. Wanda is a younger Avenger too and overall matches up well timeline wise to her background. Dick Van Dyke release seems to be the only hiccup DVD wise

Malcom didn’t air (in real life) until 2000. The flashback was set in 1999, you can’t have a bootleg of a show just hasn’t even aired yet. Similarly, that precise box set of The Dick VD Show we see in the flashback wasn’t released until 2005. Again, could just be down to different release dates in the MCU. If that’s all it is then that’s all it is. Though makes you wonder why they didn’t just show the family watching a tv broadcast episode of the Van Dyke show rather than specifically highlight a specific box set that wouldn’t exist for another 6 years.

Eight years passed between 2012 and 2017 so anything is possible.

It's also a memory. Could be unreliable.

Also regarding Pietro. There's no way he's just a normal resident possessed. Agatha can't give people their old speed powers.

I think the DVDs were an unfortunate goof. Why didn't they show VHS tapes instead of DVDs?

I will admit the DVD set took me out. I immediately starting thinking, wait a minute.

To those discussing about the dvds: the twins were like 20 years old in Age of Ultron. That was set around 2015. Their parents were killed around 2005 (the twins were 10).
If the flashback takes place in 1999, they would've been around 26 in AoU. Yet all the Avengers refer to them as "kids". I don't know about you guys, but 26 is not a kid anymore.

Could be. Maybe it was even agatha (all along) who changed the flashback around and had the Sword Director drop the "bring him to life" line.

I doubt it, but it's still possible

That Agnes gave superspeed powers to as well? If there had been a mystery as to why he wasn't using his powers, you might be on to something.

I swear guys, it's gonna be ok if he's from the Foxverse.

Wait a minute... Is Chthon actually the big bad?!

Agatha talking about chaos magic seems to back this theory up.

Could just be because they're younger than everybody else, the same way somebody in their 80s-ish could call somebody in their 50s a kid lol

Yes. It was all a charade to make Wanda believe. Is it really hard? Illusions all along. Agatha was in control of this fake Pietro the entire time.

Why do you think he was so questioning of Wanda and how she created the hex. It was Agatha in disguise of Pietro.

Not that difficult to understand but if y’all wanna think him to be the actual real Quicksilver from another universe, then so be it.
