Maybe have Sting turn instead

But he's at that point in his career where he's just a face until he retires for real

Just got back from Phoenix. Sleep deprived after a 5 hour drive and the loss of my voice, TNA's Fan Expo is amazing and was worth going to another state for. I would've gone to Bound For Glory, but I have to go to work tonight. Aries is the favored to win according to the crowd reactions at the gathering. I wouldn't be surprised if the booking decision were made based on that.

Quote:
Is TNA airing the hall of fame tonight or will it just be on the ppv tomorrow?
From what I understand, the entire event will be on a separate disc for the Bound For Glory DVD. Similar to how WWE does with Wrestlemania and the Hall of Fame for their set.

WWE are a bunch of crooks when it comes to Fan Expos. You're basically paying $100 for autographs and face time. For $125, I got to meet (and yes, the talent insisted pics be taken with them!)

SoCal Val
Christy Hemme
Jeremy Borash
AJ Styles
Al Snow
Austin Aries
Bubba Ray
Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
Hector Guerrero
Willie Urbina
Hernandez
James Storm
Kurt Angle
Magnus
Miss Tessmacher
Zema Ion

Bobby Roode
Christopher Daniels
Earl Hebner
Brian Hebner
Kazarian
Jeff Hardy
Mike Tenay
Taz
Rob Van Dam
Samoa Joe
Tara
Taryn Terrell
Dixie Carter

(For an extra $75, you got)

D-Lo Brown
Bruce Pritchard
Brooke Hogan
Hulk Hogan

but that also got you a ticket into the Hall of Fame ceremony that served dinner (!!!) with a random wrestler sitting at your table to interact with you and whoever was sitting around during the show. I thought that was pretty cool. (We got SoCal Val.) So it was a great investment even if you're a Hogan hater.

Re: Hogan

He was just awesome=. Security was giving him sh** because he was only supposed to sign one item, but he would sign more than that if you asked him. So as much sh** as I have given him in the past, I have some new found respect for the guy. He really does care about his Hulkamaniacs.

The shocking part was he admitted to actually having an ego later during his TNA HOF speech! Hogan was pretty funny. Same with AJ.

Re: Lex Luger

His speech was depressing to watch. Not only was he in bad shape because of the stroke (considering he used to be an impressive physical specimen back then) so much so that he can barely sign autographs now due to the pain, but he nearly had me moved to tears during his segment. I was starting to choke up when he admitted to everbody that he was basically a sh**ty friend and yet despite all that, not once did Sting ever leave his side!

Re: Sting

According to him, he actually wanted to retire years ago, but Dixie would always talk him into sticking around.

My only regret is Sting and Luger were rushed out after the show. TNA should've let them stay (I know they would've done if they weren't held back) stay to take care of the fans who spent a fortune attending the event. I also wish Abyss, D-Von, Rosita, Sarita, Elijah Burke, Kid Kash, Scott Steiner (ironic he gets fired when I finally go to a TNA event) and Madison Rayne were there. I really wanted to meet them.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I suggest encourage you guys go to a TNA Fan Expo even if you're not a fan of the company.

Funny enough, Austin Aries was favored by the fans in attendance, but Jeff Hardy had the longest line at the expo (I waited 40 minutes in line to interact with him!) so since Jeff won the title before at BFG, I had a feeling lightning would strike twice for him. I'm just glad Tara won the gold back

BFG 2012 Brown Bag Special - Sting's TNA HOF Shirt, 4 DVDs (One of them being Angle's), Sting action figure, AND the 2012 Wrestling Program. All for $30!!!

Sting's HOF baseball bat was separate at $50, but not a bad deal for everything.

Sadly... Sting is on record saying he doesn't want to be a full heel. His Main Event Mafia days really show how much difficulty and uncomfortability he had in being that.... He could be a great heel if he put his heart into it, but he's gonna be face till he retires... I gotta admit, that was a big "Wtf?" moment last night...

Sounds like you had one hell of a time. Sounds like great value too. They had a fan interaction thing going on when I seen went to a live show back in January but I knew nothing of it. I could have met Sting and Hogan right in my backyard. Gutted. They're back again in January but I can't afford it plus there won't be any Hogan or Sting this time. Glad you had a great time

As a heel he doesn't really work so well. I'm happy with him as a face.

As for Devon behind the whole thing..that was just..odd.

eh....he won't be the leader, just one of the members. He doesn't add up to a mastermind in any sense of the word.

Garrett Bischoff is the leader. Devon is just one of the members.

Not sure if this was mentioned or not. Have any of you read about the $100m lawsuit? Hogan has going on for whoever leaked out the porn tape.

GB as a leader is a bad idea... I think we should see the return of Jarrett for this or one completely amazing twist as to who the leader really is....I may not want to see Jarrett wrestle, but he's good for a mouthpiece.

Well if we're yet to see the real mastermind/leader of the group then I think I may be watching for a bit more. BFG was good but I didn't think it was anything memorable like others have been. Would have preferred AA to retain.

I agree with this....I really don't know why Jeff won. I get he's a big name and can put butt's in seats. However....he doesn't need the title. This is A-Double's time to carry the company and get over. TNA's gonna do what they are gonna do....

I agree with you both. I really hope they did not put the title on Hardy to just keep him in the company since his contract is expiring in March I believe.

I'm thinking it's a work. Seriously.

1.) Hogan KNEW who the woman in the video was right away, but kept it quiet. So he KNEW where the video came from.

2.) In that video statement, his lawyers, LAWYERS who make sure things are always official and legal, refer to their client as Hulk Hogan and NOT Terry Bollea. Hulk Hogan can't sue anyone since it is not a real person.

3.) Bubba and Hogan were supposedly good friends. Such good friends, Bubba left Hogan bang his own wife. Why ruin a friendship for money?

4.) Bubba knew Hogan would sue whoever released a sex tape with him in it, so why still release it, especially when he hasn't even sold it yet? AND why give TMZ and other rag magazine video clips of it before even selling it? FOR PUBLICITY.

Just like everything else in the life of "Hulk Hogan", this is a friggin' work.

1) He kept it quiet because he didn't want his new wife to find out and freak out, which she did anyway.

2) If the legal documents say Terry Bollea (and I'm sure they do), then it's legit.

3) Bubba has said that he has so much respect for 2 men that he would give his wife to them. One was Hogan, the other was Howard Stern. As for ruining a friendship over money, Bubba is heard at the end of the tape (after Hogan left the room) saying to her something like "when we want to retire, all we need to do is sell this tape".

4) I think Bubba originally filmed it hoping to cash in on it later and splitting the proceeds with Hogan. Now that Hogan is married, he doesn't want this coming out and possibly ruining another marriage.

I think Heather leaked it, because she really has nothing to lose, and it hurts both Bubba and Hogan. As for why Gawker posted clips of the video, they did it for their publicity. It worked, because I had never heard of Gawker before they posted the video.

I'm not saying Hogan is completely innocent or honest about all of this, but I believe him when he says he didn't know he was being filmed.

Am I the only one who doesn't give 2 shits about the entire Hogan/Sex tape thing?

Hardy winning the title was lame as hell. I can't wait for him to fall off the wagon again and **** up. Austin Aries was so over with the crowd and should have held the strap longer.

Jarrett is old and boring. Eric Bischoff wants to make a name for his son.

So if you were the booker and these were your two choices.... who would it be? I'd go with Jarrett because GB hasn't done anything and is way too green and hasn't had enough character built up to be a mastermind...

Personally, if I had free reign to bring in anyone.... I'm not sure who I would go with, but I'd make damn sure it came from left field but made sense....
