Wow the fact that it has the documentary with it might get me if it is released in the US.

Are there any other extras from the Wizards Collection that might be missing in this new release?

Yeah, I think the bonus disc will remain exclusive to those sets

I love my Hogwarts Collection packaging even if it is a huge pain in the ass and arguably scratches discs. It's just too nice to care about that stuff.

Ain't re-buying these movies unless they get new 4k remasters.

Any hope for 4K versions in the future ? Parts 1 and 2 definitely need new transfers.

Shot Super35 and have a lot of low resolution CG visual effects. Didn't look so good in the theater either so I'm not sure a remaster would make a huge difference.

Do the added scenes in the first 2 make a huge difference? I'm getting tired of waiting for this to go on sale. Besides that, I really only watch special features once so the extra discs would just sit in the case. Thinking about just going for the standard collection.

I'm sure a remaster of the film portion would still yield impressive results. It did for freaking 16mm with Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Those effects would look like garbage though, yes. I'm sure 90's and early 2000's films will continue to have that problem for the rest of our lives.

I still only own the HD-DVD box which I believe included the 1st 5 films. I think I will buy this new boxed set.

I still have a fairly "sharp" memory of films I've seen theatrically and the first 2 films didn't look that great. Chamber of Secrets was particularly murky. It's just the style of Chris Columbus. I don't think any of his films could be called crisp.

The first four films also had a DVD with additional special features included that aren't in the new box set.

Has anyone who own the huge Harry Potter The Wizards Collection 31 disc set noticed that Cloth Map has faded and darkened and its not so clear picture anymore??

I have kept it inside the box where it was hidden. I yesterday took it out just to look and notice that colors hasnt so bright anymore

Here is pic what i mean:

I didn't get no cloth map. Since you're in Finland I am guessing that was a Euro edition, and your question would be better fit in that country's forum. This is the US section.

Edit: Oh God, had to fix the you're to your! My eyes!

Yeah, nice box but no cloth map here either. Now I feel cheated.

I pre-ordered this huge boxset at amazon.co.uk at early 2012 and got it perfect condition (and yes i get little bit later those 5 replacement discs cause there was some issues with 5 discs at UK first).

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Potter-Wiza...rhf_se_p_img_4

Is there actually differents between UK version and USA/Canada version of same boxset (those "Exclusive bonus things")??

I didnīt know that if this is the case. =/

You said that you donīt have in USA/Canada boxset that cloth map at boxset ,so was there something else what UK boxset dont have? Iīm just curious..

At UK boxset version has all these ; Exclusive memorabilia including a Blueprint poster of Hogwarts Castle. Cloth Map of Hogwarts,5 Concept Sketches,8 Concept Art, Label Collection, Catalogue of Artefacts, UV code scroll & Salazar Slytherin’s Horcrux Locket and Certificate of Authenticity

Wait, what? I'm in the US, bought it from Amazon US and I received that cloth map. In fact, mine came faded and I thought it was a problem so I contacted Warner customer service and they sent me a second map without hesitation. So now I have two cloth maps. It was slightly better but my guess is that the printing process for whatever they used isn't really that impressive (although that second pic does look pretty good) and it's difficult to really have much quality control.

StingingVelvet and Early Memphis seem to be confusing Adasme's Harry Potter Wizard's Collection (of which, the U.S. release got the same cloth map as Adasme's) with the Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection.
