This looks bad. Generic supernatural horror with mutant tag.

The only question now is if it will make more or less than Dark Phoenix.

Generic horror is still better than no horror with just "scary" moments.

Since Feige has his own plans for the X-men, there should be no doubt abour the status of this movie

How does that comment change what I said? Did not Feige come out and say that Reynolds was part of his plan? Did he mention anyone else who has been in these movies?

Morbius looks more interesting than this one.

All I'm saying is, you never know. Feige seems to be okay with Morbius (which looks horrifying) and Deadpool 3 into the MCU. Why not New Mutants?

I like a lot of the products that Feige's effort has promoted with the MCU. Obviously. I mean, I was SOOOOOO gushing over Endgame, for instance.

But ... :

1) The idea that Ryan Reynolds was always part of the plan is total BS. I might as well say that I was always going to be married to Blake Lively.

Oh. Ooops.

2) I still don't like the idea of whatever he has planned for X-Universe. I know, I know: How would I know?! Well, I don't. But the idea of a continuation of what it *looks* like it might become just doesn't appeal to me. It doesn't after what I've already seen (and very mostly) enjoyed.

Trust me: If I'm wrong on this one, no one would be happier than ME.

Option one, it was part of the Sony deal.
Option two Deadpool had two successful movies, and distanced itself enough from the Fox-men movies to get a pass.
Option three meh.

Deadpool/X-Men verse will be an alternate universe with characters having cameos in MCU from time to time. I’ll bet.

Not with them introducing The Eternals into the Mcu.

You understood. I fully believe Marvel Studio will have their own version of the X-Men. It’s just that the old version will occasionally make appearances.

Why would they do that?
Also which older versions?

I would definitely take the under on that.

Sure, Dark Phoenix had a lack of marketing/support from Disney, but that was still a mainline X-Men film (even if some audiences never warmed to the First Class cast as much as they did the original group, there wasn’t a need for another film in this universe after Apocalypse and Logan, nor would a semi remake of Last Stand help inject a feeling of freshness into the series) with a Summer blockbuster release date. This is a lower budget spin off which has been on the shelf for years and is probably being dumped.
