This thread is really getting off-topic. Can you guys go make a thread about Stephen King's bibliography and adaptations of his bibliography and talk about that stuff there. Because this thread should only be about the upcoming FILM "It" and not about how Stephen King's 11th book had a terrible movie or TV series adaptation.

Who made you the thread police ? Rather than complaining, contribute something "It" related if you are so desperate to get the discussion on topic. Talking about related subjects till the next piece of news on "It" comes along is perfectly valid. The alternative is an inactive thread.

How's this for on-topic: Only 37 days or about 900 hours until It is released.

For this reason, King himself was hesitant to publish it after he wrote it. He eventually submitted it because he needed one last book to fulfill a contract with Doubleday.
Haha this is well-phrased, I have always felt similarly, if not as aritculately put as you put it. It does feel more like a McCarthy novel, that's why it's awesome and it's one of my favourites of the King's. And yeah, he did write an intro for it in an edition of the novel I used to own where he says he thought it was the one where he went too far.

Related subjects? Talking about how the book "Pet Sematary" went too far has absolutely no relation to the upcoming film, "It". People view this thread to read about any upcoming news on the film, not to read about what Stephen King book others enjoyed the most or which book they were let down by.

And...? So, it is appropriate for me to go into a Harry Potter thread and randomly start talking about how J.K. Rowling's "The Cuckoo's Calling" was a terrible book and start going into the finer details of the novel that I liked and didn't like. Nothing to do with Harry Potter whatsoever, but it's a book written by J.K. Rowling, so apparently it's fair game and still on-topic!

All of these topics are related to IT, because IT is related to The Dark Tower.

Your whining is the only thing that is seriously off topic. Everybody else seems quite happy here.

All I was saying in my first post was that someone should make a thread dedicated solely to Stephen King's bibliography and all the different adaptations made from his bibliography. Then, people that are interested in talking about that stuff can go to its respective thread and talk about it and all the people interested in the actual topic at hand in this thread, which is the film "It", can come here and talk about it. So, we don't have two different topics in one thread.
