Thank you Rockzilla. Your hunger will be satisfied in a very big way. You can count on the dark forces.

There's no rules Damonstein. But wouldn't you rather have stuff in your collection that increases in value than not...in case you do decide to sell. It's amazing how so many bigger released titles from the studios drop so low in value. Not to mention they press so much more than limited edition releases, you can always find a large number of them for sale.

And "true collectors" who just want to score every copy of their favorite movies, every spine number or whatever don't need exclusive extras to make them valuable. Guys who collect VHS and stuff aren't doing it because the companies making UHDs today are throttling their releases to make them intentionally inferior. They're collecting because those old releases are vintage, historic, nostalgic, etc.

I do appreciate that there can be rights issues or other reasons not every past extra can be on every new release, like when Code Red had to cut the director out of the Just Before Dawn 'making of' doc. If you can't do it, you can't do it. But if you choose not to do it, that's a real bummer. I highly, doubt you're going to find many fans who want their releases Nerfed, with features deliberately held back.

...That said, I'm always interested in MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS.
Oh really...go check out what the previous Dark Force release for MIRROR MIRROR is currently going for on Ebay. The collector's that upgrade don't do it for the extras they do it for the upgraded quality of the movies they like. When DVD first came out it was far superior to VHS, so naturally collector's wanted to upgrade. Same with Blu-ray and especially now the incredible 4K UltraHD. But all this being said we will have some very major announcements before the end of the month regarding upcoming releases. One in particular that really means a lot to me and further strengthens my belief, and hopefully yours too, that the dark forces ultimately prevail.

It's just pure laziness straight up. Like his half assed copy and paste slipcovers. His excuses are nonsense. Hillarious even. Thinking people are going to want to keep old worthless discs. Not realizing when upgrades come, the previous releases usually lose most or all value. Also nice not having 20 different versions of the same movie and having everything on one release when possible. Not everyone is a hoarder. I even thought about ordering a couple things some time ago but between bipolar store hours and garbage stock levels, couldn't get anything I wanted, so I gave up and gave my money to someone else.

Makes it so hard to support this label when it's run by a clown. Can only hope someone else can get the rights to some of these movies. Thankfully most of what DF releases, I don't care about. Otherwise this would be more frustrating.

Speaking as one of those collectors that upgrades, the extras are a definite factor, at least for those of us who appreciate the film history and insight often preserved in good special features. It's not a binary question of "what single reason do people upgrade for?" There's more than one factor. And it's really a shame to see commentaries, interviews, etc with the filmmakers fade away and become inaccessible to fans.

Especially if the cause is to make Ebay scalper prices rise? That's a bummer on both ends. New releases made lesser so old releases become more cost prohibitive?

If I want to buy Mirror Mirror now, it's gonna cost me over $70 to assemble an edition with the best PQ and the extras.

Right, but I'm talking about the other way around: people who buy VHS now. Because you brought up older formats like the Mirror Mirror BD holding their value. People who still collect older formats aren't doing it because the labels releasing the latest format are making them worse. Well, maybe a few are; but they're not happy about it.

He doesn't want you to sell it because if you do then that's one less copy he gets to sell.

Same here. I also don't care about "upgrading" any of the Dark Force titles I have to 4K.

Man do I wish all collector's thought like you, Suicide! The extras are THE hardest part of doing these releases. And the older the movie, the harder they are for the obvious reason. But also surprisingly it's amazing how many surviving people from these cult and B-movies have no interest in being interviewed. Perhaps if we were paying a lot of money but it would not be feasible on these smaller releases. One of the key reasons I came up with the "SAVAGE TRACKS" audio commentary series which is a great extra that contains informative information on the movie, comedy and of course an in depth insight on the psyche of Joe Rubin.

Well you are certainly saving money Nosferatu but you are DEFINITELY missing out! The 4K line is by far our best series. Not to mention most of them are not ones we had previously released a blu on. I'm pretty sure if you got one of them you would be hooked. The 4K HDR is pretty spectacular and I am very happy with how they have been turning out.

We appreciate the enthusiasm Joel. DUNNING is currently in replication and should be out and shipping late next week. And don't worry it's definitely going to be worth the short wait. I hate even calling this a documentary...it's more like a SPECTACLE. I'm really hoping once this gets out it will ignite DUNNINGMANIA!

Looks like I jumped the gun! Didn't realise they weren't shipping just yet. No problem. Cheers! Looking forward to it.

We need more titles like this, Demon!

I completely understand where you're coming from Dave. I'm just not that customer that needs every title in my collection upgraded to 4K. I only upgrade my absolute favorites that get multiple watches per year. Besides, your Blu-ray transfers look great and that's good for me.
