Been quite sometime since I last ordered from the DarkForces.....Just corrected that by ordering that "HORROR GLOW SLIPCOVER 4K 2-PAC" for $65.

House of Seven Corpses and Mirror Mirror are blind buys. Watched trailers for both and they look right in my wheelhouse. If anything, I get those sweet, sweet glow slips

Looking forward to my first UHDs from the DarkForces....eagerly anticipating Death Ship

Thanks Dave!

Hey Dave - I never got a reply here in the thread, so maybe I’ll just send you a message through the DF website (when I’m able to get back online). Maybe it’s better to contact you through there?

Looks like the House of Seven Corpses UHD might be the biggest cult video release of the year.

Y'know DaveyJoe this is one helluva big release, the movie never looked better, lots of great extras and one of the coolest slipcovers ever for sure. However, as far as the biggest cult video release of the year, I have a feeling that is going to be something else and I think you all know what I am referring to...STAY TUNED.

Oh, I was mostly just joking around. I doubt the Demon is referring to Water Power in this instance.

Although I am doubtful, Bill Olsen( AKA Banana Man) did try to do a blu ray release so there is a small chance. I remember floating the idea for him to use the Japanese poster art as a cover/ slipcover.

Wow, THE MUMMY AND THE CURSE OF THE JACKALS is coming out next month from Severin. I guess we can buy that and STUD for an Oliver Drake film festival.

It's not hardcore that's for sure. Some guy on letterboxd reviewed it

Confusing sex western from the everyone-keeps-their-pants-on era. It’s cheap, crude, and boring.
This really feels like something made in the 40s, especially with some of the antiquated sounding stock music, betrayed only by its being in color and offering nudity along with light swearing.

ANGELICA THE YOUNG VIXEN **1/2 / *****
- You filthy minded little *****!
- Now you’re talking my language.
Dreary country set very softcore sexploiter that plays like a lame poverty row drama with some tame T&A (pants on during sex).
Some dialogue is unintentionally amusing and an unexpected “live” song performance of a quality original folk ballad gives the momentary illusion of effort in a Bobby Davis sort of way.

Not boring either...it's 69 minutes!! (nerd reviewer) Lots of skin, lot of violence...definitely would pair well with Severin's THE MUMMY AND THE CURSE OF THE JACKAL from same B-movie great director, Oliver Drake. Plus it is very obscure drive-in exploitation at it's best. We will be having a special on it as it is the 50TH single's edition release from Dark Force...appropriately a "rape western". Definitely a ROUGHIE so not recommended for the timid.

I'll be ordering it.

The other roughie western I'm looking for is HARD ON THE TRAIL (1972). Famous western star Lash La Rue made a film entitled HARD TRAIL, which he thought was just a standard western. However, the director (Greg Corarito) later shot roughie sex scenes without La Rue and changed the title to HARD ON THE TRAIL.

When Lash La Rue found out about the longer version, he was so ashamed that he became a church missionary to atone for its sexplicit content, although he was not to blame for it.

There was a VHS release of HARD ON THE TRAIL that was only sold in the pages of Psychotronic Magazine. I think that Greg Corarito was the seller, and there were two or three other films sold along with it as well.

Thanks Jobla you won't be disappointed. It's one of the wildest exploitation flicks we have ever seen. Actually has an interesting story too, all 69 minutes of it. The one with Lash LaRue sounds cool too. We will look into that one. Nothing like these old drive-in exploitation movies that's for sure.

It might help sales if the webstore were open longer and run more like a traditional business.

I'm far more likely to upgrade something to 4K if it's a film I'm familiar with, like Death Ship or Terror Train. Those are guaranteed pickups. Something I've never heard of is more of a gamble so I might hesitate. But, again, it doesn't help that the webstore is only open sporadically. Sometimes I might decide to do a blind buy but if the store is closed, that goes out the window.

There's usually a 4th of July drop - is that happening this year?

That sucks. Don't see why they can't get a wide release. If they're so expensive wouldn't that make more sense?
