Yes, but the funds can only be added one day at a time.

So hypothetically, if I wanted to take my friend to the movies tomorrow, I can go to the theater kiosk today, buy a ticket for tomorrow, then tomorrow go to the kiosk again and buy another ticket?

The MoviePass is for the cardholder to see up to one movie each day - not for people to bring friends. They should get their own cards.
I hope people don't even attempt to abuse the system. That's why we can't have nice things.

I guess it depends on how you see it, I'm not literally giving my card to someone. It's like seeing 2 movies in 2 days.

It's not a point of view thing. You are trying to buy 2 tickets for the same day. That is not what the program allows. Anything else is abuse of their system and that will quickly get your account closed and your MoviePass benefits will be short-lived.

Gotcha, I probably won't do it then. Was just wondering if it's possible

Once the funds are added to the card. You only have 30 mins to make a purchase.

I feel this gets changed every once and a while. One time I went in there it could only be used once I activated the rewards. The next, the ticket was already paid for and I had a General Mills ticket to use. They had to cancel the transaction and they had to load the visits on my Stubs card manually after I paid.

Basically, no 2+ people in a group can sit together to see the same movie, at the same time, on the same day, UNLESS they have their own cards or they pay out of pocket.

Now, you can always be generous and use the card for a buddy on a separate day, but again, they will be sitting by themselves UNLESS you pay out of pocket to join them.

Yeah, like cinemaphile. That's how stuff gets taken advantage of and ends. and killing it for everybody. If you go to the movies a lot. It basically pays for itself after one viewing.

Used it 6x already in past 20 days. Such a great deal.

Probably avg twice a week now. Used to go to the theaters once a week.

I'll be the first to admit that I bend the rules on things from time to time and that I would much rather have extra money in my pocket than that of some greedy faceless corporation, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

$9.99 a month for one movie a day isn't just a fair deal, but it's a goddamn great one. Why not just accept what you can and cannot do with this service and move on?

I do fully understand how MoviePass works and how everyone is getting their money and there are no real losers here, but I just find it odd that no matter how much you offer people, they will always try to take more.

I encounter this on every thread on every forum on every website discussing Moviepass and I just don't understand it.

Most theaters don’t have assigned seating here, thank God, unless it’s IMAX or recliner seat theaters.

I can't wrap my head around the idea of assigned movie theater seating. Reminds me of school or something.

It's best for opening night premieres of huge movies like Star Wars or something so you can ensure you have a seat at all, and that it's hopefully a good one, without getting to the theater like an hour or two early and waiting in a line. Can just roll up five minutes before and go to your seat

I like assigned seating. I don't miss the days of going an hr or so to the theater early.

Plus you still choose your seats.

After a month I just got an email that my card has shipped. There is a God. I might see blade runner 5 times now.

An hour or two? Ha. With opening night SW or Marvel flicks I would need go be more like 3+ hours early to get my seats.

Man. We don't get quite the diversity of films up here (only 8-10 at a time), but I love that I can walk into the theater 2 minutes before a movie starts any time, any day and still get a good seat.

3 hours? I saw The Avengers opening night and I got there about 45 minutes early just to secure a seat. The earliest I ever arrived to the theater to get a good seat was 90 minutes and that was for the last three Fast & Furious movies because everybody and their brother's brother would show up and the lines would stretch out into the lobby.
