Every non-limited edition release eventually goes down in price. If you wait long enough then yes, it will be less than $50. In the meantime I'll be enjoying watching the series and getting good value for the money I've paid. Plus and under-rated perk of buying on release date is that you know you haven't got someone elses return. |

Is ripping the discs a guaranteed way to detect possible playback issues? I'm looking for a faster way than watching each episode from start to finish. I wasn't planning to rewatch the show for a while but I'd like to know if any discs are a dud within the return period.

and again, pricing is a part of the discussion...a lot of people still haven't bought the set yet... |

It's almost as if none of you guys have ever seen a physical media release before. Star Wars 4K went on 25% off (2 for X) promotion the day it came out for an entire month, and then about a week after that one ended Disney put it on even deeper discount of 40% off (3 for X). Does that mean Star Wars is entirely worthless too?

New releases always go down in price. Even popular 4K releases will often be half price within a matter of months. |

I hope that has something to do with low sales, if in fact, they are low. ...and I hope HBO learns from it. |
