So what do u call Mariah Carey & Keith Urban's music? Non main stream? Haha. Just quit while u are behind. The point is we all dont like the same music but just because u arent fond of someone's music doesnt mean its terrible. Thats like me saying Bon Jovi sucks because I dont play his music. I respect his music but it may not be for me. I hate when people thinks eveything they dont like sucks. Got Em!!

I'm not saying that everything I don't like sucks. I listen to a wide range of artists and I don't have any genres that I truly dislike. All I'm saying is that our world thrives off of crap artists. Most of the artists nowadays are only concerned with a paycheck and not making true, genuine music anymore.

All we're simply doing is exchanging our opinions. It's actually quite humorous how uptight and defensive you're getting over people having differing opinions on an artist and a reality television show than you do.

Regardless of what you say, people will have their own opinions and you can't change that. All you're doing by trying to take over the conversation and tell people they're wrong about this and that is embarrassing yourself.

2 hrs of prime time TV, featuring more commercials than audition...a montage of bad singers or good...commercials...one audition...commercials..with all the money they are paying the judges this year no wonder you get more advertising than anything else..

Nicki bought some spunk to the show, Mariah will hopefully get better has the season progress...Keith couldn't get a word in...Randy, time to call it quits.

Come on now, I was somewhat active in the threads for past seasons. My wife didn't even enjoy the show last night. I have no interest in watching these hosts what so ever, I will wait for Got Talent which is way more entertaining to return for my fill of this kinda tv.

So what are we betting on, I am posting again right now so that can't be it but I won't be watching any more.

Well your opinion or not many millions disagree with that opinion so well just leave it at that. Nicki was by far the best judge on the premiere and looks like she will always keep it real and not sugar coat it. Well see how it goes but hopefully Urban & Carey become more vocal and tell it like it is. Got Em!!

U aint lying about the commercials. Thats why I always DVR the show and start 30 minutes later so I can forward the commercials so it never effects me. Agree with u about Nicki also. Should be fun. Got Em!!

I called the winner last year from just the very first episode and I am gonna call it again from the 2nd episode. Johnny Keyser will be this years winner. He got screwed last year in Hollywood but I think this will be his year. Also tonight was much better than last night and there were some great singers tonight. Good to see Urban be a bit more vocal but dude is very soft spoken so Im not sure he will be any better than Tyler. Again Minaj was the strongest judge and tells it how it is. I just have a feeling Nicki & Randy will be the strong judges for this season but well see how Keith & Mariah does as the show progresses. Got Em!!

I also hate heavy metal and screamo music, can't stand it really, but gotta admire someone that can sing like that for a couple hours and still have a voice afterwards! haha

Last nights episode was so much better. Still think the whole Mariah/Nicki fighting is totally lame. Nicki makes comments to provoke Mariah and Mariah falls right into it. Was hoping Mariah would have more class and not sink to the juvenile behavior of Nicki. Sadly, Nicki is much more involved and vocal and therefor so far a better judge but I still prefer Randy and Keith. Ah well...

Was anybody else surprised by the street performer lady? When they started showing all the balloon animals I was thinking, "Oh yeah she is totally going to go in there cracking jokes and doing "magic" tricks but totally prank the judges and have a horrible voice." but nope. Quirky chick actually has some talent. Won't make it far against the competition but she is entertaining.

So far nobody has stood out to me as worth watching this season, there are some good ones like the street performer girl(female Philip Philips to me), but nobody amazing yet.
Hopefully I see someone I like before Hollywood week or I will probably be done with Idol.

Not a fan of any of the new judges, Keith seems to be a decent guy and would have worthwhile things to say, but it's obvious he's not going to be able to with the other 3 never shutting their mouths for more than 5 seconds.

Not liking the chemistry of the new judges either. Too much fighting already between Mariah and Nicki and taking the focus away from the contestants.

Exactly, the fighting is really taking away from the contestant...I can't remember who it was lastnight but the 2 of them got into it an the poor contestant was just standing there...its really getting annoying.

I prefer Randy and Keith just in general. Randy would be a better judge if he would stop trying to be funny when it just comes off as cruel and insensitive. Keith would be better if he would speak up more and offer more to the show and contestants. Don't really know any of his music but I'm sure if somebody pointed out some of his songs to me then it may click but country really isn't my strong suit anymore. I don't even know where his accent is from. Anyway, I agree that Nicki has offered the most so far but that can also become annoying when she doesn't allow the others to talk. She bugs me. Mariah is a legend and deserves more respect from Nicki than she gets. Them arguing back and forth so much over the smallest of things really takes away from the contestants and the overall show.

Anyway, there isn't any point in nagging the issue - was just giving my opinion of the new judges. Actually looking forward to the next few weeks. Thats why I asked because Keith has offered nuthin so far. Im sure Keith would be better if he did what u asked but thats like saying the same thing for Tyler when he was a judge. He wouldve been better also but he didnt and therefore wasnt a good judge. We can already see who the strongest judge will be and I kinda knew that goin in and thats why I said she she would be a good judge from the start when she was first signed. Also I dont agree that she doesnt let the other judges talk. She says her piece and then its on to the next judge. Sometimes they dont know what to say and its dead air or its to short so she may chime in again because the others dont offer much. Also its only her and Mariah. She doesnt bother the other judges, that thing is strictly between her and Mariah. Thats what happens sometimes when u get two divas together. I think once the live shows start they will be ok. Got Em!!
