Surprised to see you again David, but you are funny as it's not VS that needs to turn heel given their business is very successful and they don't need advice on how to win wars.

I missed out on this title completely, didn't know about it. So I'd be excited if it were done in 4k or even just re-issued in blu. Watched this on Tubi last night and really wish the disc was still available.

I want the Demon to elaborate a little more on these upcoming 'label wars.' Drop a few hints Dave, so we can guess at which label is not playing nice.

Teenage Hitchhikers really needs a 4K release. This is an exceptionally well photographed movie and the elements are clearly in great shape. The Code Red dvd looks as good as a dvd possibly can and the Dark Force blu-ray is just stunning. I think most of us are used to 70's exploitation flicks looking a little rough, but not this one. It looks like it was shot yesterday.

Yeah, it does look great. Even on Tubi, which streams HD at 720P rather than full 1080, it looked very good.

Question about the movie if you (or anyone) knows - I see Margaret Whitton credited in this at IMDB as some character Sola Alcoa. I didn't spot her in the movie. Is she actually in this?

Dude. She's one of my groupies. (vid is NSFW so I'm not embedding)

^ And yes, that's what fans had to deal with for quality before Bill Olsen stepped in and saved the day. Thanks Bill, will always remember you for this one.

Thanks, I could tell that was her in the clip. Funny that she had a small part in this.

Could we get some clarification on Death Ship and Terror Train? Are these two still coming from Kino now or did DF yank them back? I have a strange feeling I shouldn't have sold my Blu-ray copies, now we'll be stuck in limbo with a label that can't make up its mind whether or not they want to support 4K.

Kino confirmed they have and will be releasing Terror Train soon. Can’t quite remember about Death Ship.

Somehow missed that the 'Halloween 4K Bundle Special' with the Ben Cooper Halloween mask icon was for two Blaxploitation titles I'd been keeping my eye on; $49.95 for the 4Ks of Black Gestapo and Velvet Smooth is a nice deal!

You know how well Vinegar Syndrome's business is doing huh rdodolak. If you recall during that infamous Label Wars, Dark Force was definitely the heel. When I called out Joe Rubin for a steel cage match it ended up being the catalyst for what turned out to be an almighty alliance between Dark Force and Vinegar Syndrome. And both of us are also in alliance with Severin...another great label.

I thought they confirmed both as 4K titles, but then turned around and said they actually had to find elements first.

Ahhh jcs, not playing nice is an understatement. You can't believe what has been going on behind the scenes and for years now that has affected many other labels and people in our world. It all started with one of these crap 80's horror movies that Banana Man licensed and released years ago. Along came the label in reference that saw a quite brilliant angle using the court system to their advantage to wreak havoc on all involved. But their reign of terror is about to come to a fiery finale courtesy of Dark Force. And when the details go public I think it will be very bad for said label and little weasel that allegedly owns the crap movie that started it all. The end of this year could be extremely "chaotic", pardon the pun, with the upcoming election for the country and a potential major Label War for this business.

Hmmmmm I wonder who this other label might be I think it's probably Shout! Factory which has not been putting out much new to Blu-Ray horror films as of this year. Maybe even Arrow Video jeez these two sound exactly like the label Demon Dave is talking about. Oh boy if Shout! Factory and Dark Force Entertainment get into a label war this year that will be insane. I have a feeling it's Kino though who knows it might be MVD too.

It Sounds like MVD to me they've sure been pretty quiet this year in terms of putting out titles. They've also been doing so many re-releases of films previously released on Blu-Ray including a number of Code Red titles. Hmmmmmm interesting

It's not MVD. I can't say anything just yet but you are definitely correct in saying if we do go to war it is going to be biblical. You will understand better when we lay out the facts of their actions, especially on both Bill and Walt while they were on their deathbeds. That alone has put them in a direct collision course with me that I can promise you will not end well for them. But there is a whole lot more to this you won't believe...stay tuned for what will be one of the biggest and hopefully bloodiest Label War of all time!

I'm really looking forward to it I think that people manipulating the court system isn't right at all its going to be pretty big, and I honestly have no idea what that label is going to be in for.

I think I recall something when you mentioned Walt and Bill because someone wanted to sue shortly before they passed away. I think I know who the filmmaker is. I can't guess what label it is though as this person's films have been released by different labels over the years. I assumed the suit would have died with the Olson's deaths. I could be wrong about the filmmaker, so I'm not mentioning any names.
