Did you ever consider becoming a professional film critic? I think you have a future in that - I've never read a more concise, intelligent and thoughtful review of a film.

i asked for people to offer opinion and to explain to me in the event i missed something or didn't understand, i never said that i was right thats why theres a question mark in the threads title, try reading next time mate

people that say the ending did not make sense obviously did not actually "watch" the movie...

I thought the ending was a stretch to imagine, if you aren't familiar with Elmore Leonard novels. The criminal has a change of heart that leads to his self-sacrifice.

Different strokes for different folks. I really enjoyed the film, and found the ending to be fitting and quite satisfactory. This is all subjective, much like anything else in life.

I'm certain that you can rattle off ten films that you like, which in turn I happen to think is atrocious schlock. Everyone is different, and have diverging tastes.

Just watched it for the 1st time on Blu. What a GREAT movie!! I put it right there with Tombstone and Unforgiven.
