2 Questions:

1. How do I redeem the 4th Shrek movie using this UK voucher if I live in the USA and only purchased Shrek 3D The Complete Collection without the starter kit?

2. What model number do I enter? I need a model number. (I have a Samsung 3D LED TV Series 8000 55inch)

I bought Shrek 3D The Complete Collection online without the starter kit from a UK retailer that shipped to the USA, back when amazon uk had the promotion for 1 day.



I have the verification code which doesn't work if I try to redeem on the USA website. I also have the serial number printed on the voucher CY-SHRK3/XEU which is different from serial numbers on starter kits sold here in the USA. I have a friend's UK address and my own USA address I can use for shipping.

What should I do to redeem the 4th Shrek?

UK website online redemption between November 11, 2010 and December 31, 2010

Have it sent to your UK friend as it's only available to customers in the UK or Ireland. If that person can get a hold of the Starter kit in a retail store they have the model and serial number on the bottom of the kit, so they can write it down and use it. Although that's not ethical and will hurt the potential buyer of that kit. Otherwise you may out of luck, unless someone from the UK would be willing to give you there model and serial number off their kit, but then how would they get the 4th disc.

I have the serial number. It's even listed on the UK Samsung website. I need the model number. Someone said they used the model number off their TV and it worked.

You can try that, but the retail box has both the serial number and the model number on the bottom of the package. You can always have your friend get that info for you if you wish to go that route. It's sneaky but it'll get it done.

if we had some sort of indication on when they would start mailing them out. You would think today would be the day as the 4th film is out.

I will never buy samsung products again. I think its a shame that they want us to accept 3d and make it work but now the loser greedy companies are getting rights to certain movies so others can't get them. Those of us who already own 3d glasses or Sony or some other tv can't get shrek 3d because
Samsung owns the rights. Dreamworks and blu ray itself should never let this happen.

It sucks but it's only a year. It'll be retail in a year or so. Same with Panasonic and Avatar. They do it now because the adoption rate is so low and it helps to subsidize the cost. When 3Dtv sales really start to pick up you'll see this promotional crap go away.

Mine shipped today as well. They had sent me an email over the weekend saying there was a problem with my code. I had to email them my receipt and a copy of the redemption form. I guess everything worked out.

Hi guys,

I've been watchin' this 3D edition of Shrek(1) in 2D only (I don't have 3D stuff),
and really there's something wrong with the way this movie has been transformed to 3D,
I noticed that sometimes you can see something like a "halo" bordering the characters, or even artefacts with background objects,
below are 2 screenshots showing this,
for the "halo" thing it's really visible in motion as it changes from frame to frame,
after comparison there's no such artifacts on the normal edition,
don't know how this looks like on 3D btw...

Interesting! Well I never noticed it when watching in 3D..it's probably where your watching a converted 3D film in 2D! I doubt Samsung thought many people would watch the 3D bundle in 2D?
