WOW. I did not realize there were so many versions. I'm not even sure which one I saw then. I've only seen Legend on VHS here in the states, so I assume I've watched the 89min American edit?

So what are we going to get then? 113min director's cut with the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack, and the 89min cut with Tangerine Dream?

I sincerely hope they release it with at least the director's cut, if not the 150 minute version. It would be great if they included both.

The link indicated that some footage has been lost, and I have picked up on similar rumors over the years. Probably won't be a full 150min version.

We'll have to see, but I think that's what this will be. In other words, a port of the Ultimate Edition dvd.

Well, that depends--Just how MUCH of the Weird Elf Kid did you see in the version you saw?
(The Theatrical cut dropped a lot of baggage...)

and unlike the US version that ruins Darkness by showing him in the opening scenes, this introduction is, yes, amazing!

as I recall (in regareds to the many versions that exist), the TV cut is a strange hybrid of a version with one scene not in the US, Euro or DC - with the encounter with hairy creatures that Jack fights off in the dungeons of the castle.

Does anyone know if this is a single or two disc set? I was hoping it was a two disc with both cuts of the film on one disc (seamless branching) and then all of the special features on a second disc.

I was wondering how they would do this too. Would they be able to seamlessly branch this though? I thought the changes, particularly the soundtrack, would prevent this from being done.

It depends on the special features we will get if there are a lot than probably 2-versions on one disc and then the 2nd disc special features.

I'm hoping if anything it's the longer director's cut on disc 1 and the shorter theatrical on disc 2 along with the special features (which I presume are in SD given their age). That would hopefully make for the best presentation VQ & AQ wise for the films which should be paramount. But, we'll see.
