Yeah! Ultimate sound like all 3 versions!

I only have seen A version of it MANY years ago and wasn't that pleased with it but I will give it another chance on Blu if it has at least the US Theatrical and the Director's Cut.

I literally JUST bought this off amazon 3rd party on dvd yesterday because I was anxious to see it again and saw no blu ray release anywhere in site, lol. Damn.

oh wow i hope this is true. hope its all versions, or at least includes the directors cut. i love Tangering Dream but that score never worked for me, the Jerry Goldsmith version owns.

What's up with all these surprise out of nowhere releases lately?? Maybe I just haven't been staying up on news for upcoming releases or something, but there have been quite a few movies it seems lately that just came out of nowhere without warning. This one, the last unicorn. Basically ALL of these fox titles the next two weeks like sandlot, anastasia, both all dogs go to heaven movies. I really didn't expect to ever see most if any of these ever on blu ray.

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I've hade the Ultimate Edition DVD with both versions for some years now, and I've seen the Director's Cut a couple of times, but I've never popped in the US Theatrical Cut disc even once, it's untouched... Should I even bother seeing it?

I hope this is confirmed! I think this is one of the most beautifully photographed films (thank you Ridley Scott and the late DP Alex Thomson)! It really captures that fable-like realm perfectly. I first heard France was getting a May 25 release, and Canada getting it May 10 so the May release may be true for us as well

I saw it on HDNET films months ago and it looked quite a step up from DVD so I'm thinking the blu ray will look gorgeous!

One of my most favorite images! There's a stillness and dreamy quality to the scene that's just magical...it's like a moving tableaux

Agreed, I'm looking forward to this one. Hope we also see a Blu release of Scott's The Duellists as well. The cinematography in both is just gorgeous.

Yes please! And I pray they don't "children-ify" the coverart like they did with Secret of NIMH. Keep the dark elements...after all fairy tales are actually very dark stories. And Legend definately does not shy away from those elements, which is one thing I like most about it. A cool slipcover would be awesome! The ultimate edition DVD had that clear flap which had Jack and Lily and then beneath that was Darkness holding the orb which their faces appeared in. I guess they could almost do something similar to that (ala Let Me In's slipcover style). Although lots of those clear plastic slips got damaged, mine got a little rip. Maybe if they don't make it outta that clear plastic it would be better.

But the "orb" look kinda doesn't make as much sense for Legend as it did Labyrinth. In Labyrinth, Jared (David Bowie) did play with the orbs in a scene, in Legend, there are no orbs.

I think something more akin to this art would be better. I like that it's smokey ethereal and has the unicorn coming out of it!
