It does...but it shouldn't take all day for everyone to play 3 matches. Unless you thought I was thinking of doing the entire tournament on the 14th.

The first round would be the first column of the brackets.

The second round would be the second column of brackets and so forth.

The thing is, I'm sure everyone can't play on the 14th. You should spread out the Rounds into days. Maybe 3-5 days to get the 1st Round in before you start the next round.

Denoku is overseas I believe so the time difference is off in the US. Trying to play a match with him might have a conflict with my schedule during the day time for example.

It's up to you really, but speaking from experience from Madden. Days to get a 1st Round done is preferably better than doing a round 1 day. I'd say May 14 to May 17th for example to get Round 1 finished.

Good point....I just didn't want to drag it out as it doesn't take as long as say a game of Madden.

Who cares about schedules? I would leave work for the chance to beat you down in Mortal Kombat. Well why don't we all agree to a time that we can be available. It's on a Saturday so no worries for me, I'll play whenever. Just say if you want to participate in the tournament, we're doing it 8pm EST. Then if there is some sort of conflict, you can catch up.

Eh never mind 8pm EST time is 2am over here. I would be no good to play and I can't have any excuses to lose.

You can't have an organized league if you don't think about other people's schedules.

During the weekday, there's a short time frame where I can play PS3 and that might not match-up with my opponents schedule as well. So that will pose a problem regardless. Leagues fail because no one wants to make "gaming" a part of their everyday lives when this is supposed to be fun.

When you have an organized league, you have to be somewhat lenient with due dates, and be strict about not letting it drag on while those that played their games/matches will have to wait.

As for King of the Hill, that's going to be tough to get those to spectate during the same time. I don't see that happening at all. You know what I'm sayin?

Jayvo, instead of sending another PM, just update the 1st post with updated rules.

As for your last PM, just indicate to have everyone read the 1st post for the rules, game scheduling, and due dates etc...

Just redo the rules (my suggestion) before you send that PM.

Not really

Sure, I understand everyone has different schedules, but I think we should say like we'll be hosting the tournament at this time, make it if you can, if not schedule with your opponent when you can. That way some of us can be on at the same time and chat as the tournament is going on and it wouldn't be so hard for someone to spectate.

What we have to realize is that these fights should last no more than 20 minutes.

Can all the 3 matches be played at the same time? If we meet once already, might as well just finish it.
Question: when you say the rounds are 3. Do you mean that in order to win, someone must win three round?

Yes that's the point right there. You schedule your match with your opponent, meet up, and play "the best out of five" series to determine who advances to the next round.

I think Mr. J was talking about every owner has to play their matches at the same date which would never happen with personal life schedules and such.

Since we had at least 2 days to see what MK online looks like before PSN went down. It's really going to be hard to determine who won if there's a debate between 1 bracket. I mean we are reasonable adults so there shouldn't be lying, or even bickering who won. It should be resolved in a friendly matter, and the results should be posted HERE to show proof the match was played, and this member won, unless someone else has an idea.

I never got a chance to play the game online. because I got it after the PSN went down. Someone mentioned something about a spectator mode, if that does exist in this game then they "spectators" can be the judges of the game. This eliminates all bickering.

Good idea, but that's IF someone is willing to go out of their way to watch.

BTW, I been playing single matches and never had a chance to play King of the Hill. Not sure if it's an entire match and the loser bounces while a new opponent arrives.

I don't mind becoming a Spectator, after all the benefit out of it is that you get to study your opponent.

What is King of the Hill?

You're up late anyway with a full time job.

King of the Hill is an online feature for the game. I was in it, but I didn't see anyone fight since I was waiting in line. I lost patience and continued playing single opponents.

For some reason I am a huge light sleeper, any single noise would wake me up and then that's it for me, I can't go to bed anymore and worst part about it living in Manhattan. Its the capitol and the mother of all noises.

So its more like a lobby room or just a different style of online fights?

Damn PSN better come back soon.

And I already miss playing Madden.
