Depends.

If you are thinking Disney classics. No.
If you have young kids, especially girls. Absolutely.

I sat down and watch them with my kids and was quite impressed with all three of them. For direct to video, the animation is very good. Good voice acting, soundtrack, etc... By far these are the best direct to video Disney releases ever.

I'm actually surprised none had theatrical releases. They could have pulled it off considering the Disney Fairies are fairly popular and they have the calibre of feature film.

Greg, if you've seen the book, would you say it's cool at all? i mean, is it a kid's item, a collector's item, both? or is it so crappy it's neither?
I have the BAMBI book. It's a reprint of the original 1928 Little Golden Book with the same cover as the link posted to Amazon.ca. As far as I can tell it is the same book but was given out as an exclusives on release day from Best Buy.

The book itself is a kid's book. There is a humongous series of Little Golden Books for almost everything under the sun for the past 90 years or so. They are standard kid's books, but they are reasonably well done and have nice pictures inside them.

Future Shop also released a LADY AND THE TRAMP Little Golden Book giveaway which I also have. It is also available on Amazon.ca, but it has the new 2012 artwork on the cover, so at least the cover is new.

I think the Tinker Bell movies are very well done. Disney has really stepped up their game on the home video front, especially comparing it to the horrible movies it created in the late Nineties.

As others have said, there is good music, good story/plot, and top-notch computer animation. In fact, these movies look stunning in HD.

All of them have been highly rated and reviewed as well. If you are into animation or have kids, these discs will have repeated viewings for sure.

If you are just curious, they are definitely worth a rent.

Don't know if anyone confirmed this yet, but Beauty and the Beast 5-Disk 3D combo pack is the featured title for $30. I called and was told you can order the featured title (BatB) and Winnie The Pooh 3-disk for like $52, with free shipping. I was told only BatB would count as a commitment title.

Man I am really loving this program.. I mean, don't get me wrong, a lot of the prices are bogus. But some of their deals are really cool! I could see myself doing the whole "Buy Two, get rest of order 33% off" down the road (free shipping would be awesome!)

I hope they have a great deal on Muppets next month. I really want that film.

Wouldn't it be great if other Distributors did clubs like this? I mean, with deals this potentially good? I'd love for Fox to do it. Well, actually, their prices drop big time, so I guess really only the high-end ones (Disney, Criterion) would be worth it.

Wow, a Criterion movie club... sweeeeeet hehehe

A lot of the Disney movies that were released years ago didn't have the codes. The program was something they started about 3-4 years ago I believe. I know my copy of Dinosaur on blu-ray did not have a code, nor did a few others. They have since re-released these with codes and DVDs in combo packs.

Looks like we were too quick to buy lol

That sucks, they should at least make it so that you can enter the barcode or something.

If your movie has the DMR logo on the cover, then it should include the codes.

Some BDs were released before DMR started, and others, such as budget titles, do not include any such points even though they were released within the last four years.

There are a number of bonus codes and points awarded for doing surveys. There are also Double-point days and free points days too, especially around Christmas.

They used to give away a free blu-ray on your birthday, but they have since discontinued that.

That sucks! I didn't hear that, and it's my birthday at the end of the month! Although it wasn't that great of a deal as you only had a few to choose from and still had to pay $5 shipping, but it was still a nice little bonus.

For your birthday they will send you an email for some bonus DMR points.

I got Enchanted on my birthday once. That was pretty sweet.

Is there any warning before they do the double-point days? i'm saving a couple codes (just got my DMC shipment) in preparation for another "free blu-ray" or double-point event.

If there is another double point day, it's probably not gonna be til the end of the year.

A couple of years ago I got Meet the Robinsons w/ $3 shipping and last year I got Chicken Little w/ $5 shipping. Not sure about the Double Points, but I think next time I get some codes I'll hold onto them awhile as you never know when something like that is going to pop up.

I also have around 3300 points, not sure what to use them on. Anyone have any suggestions?

I also wonder why The Muppets isn't available for pre-order @ DMC, I was hoping it'd be on special for $29.95 and it'd have fulfilled my commitment.

Muppets will be coming according to the website, as will Thor.
It seems the new releases take a couple of weeks / months to be available on DMR website.

It is showing up on their site but I cannot add it to my cart.
I want to take a crack at this but really want the Muppets.

I got a few free blus too. Can't really lose for $3 shipping.

They will send you an email when a double-point day comes up. There were two of these days just this past December 2011.

It used to be that they were unlimited and you could enter as many codes as you wanted, then they limited it to 10 codes, and now I think it's down to two codes.

I've picked up a few blus as well as statues, posters, lunchboxes and pins through DMR. Those double-point days really help rack up your free points.

Ok, so I'm trying to enroll and using the URL trick and now I'm getting these "Sorry, this title is no longer available" for the two LK sequels.

Did this ever happen to anyone? I am doing it right. I had even saved the URLs and the links worked just fine yesterday.
