I'll probably just end up getting the Three-Disc combo pack.

I don't own a 3D player, but I know from past experience, 3D things will give me somewhat of a headache (Nintendo 3DS, 3D images, etc.). So, I really have no interest in buying one.

Interesting cover. I like it. I wonder if the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy version will have him hanging on the building? Does anyone know yet?

I wonder if the figure version will be a steelbook, like it is in Germany:

The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray

Maybe I'll pre-order the US one just in case.

Depending on how much more it ends up being over the regular 3D combo pack release on release day, I will consider getting the figurine release. I don't usually give them a thought, but Spider-Man is a big deal.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie and I'll definitely be picking it up. I was underwhelmed by the 3D presentation. I took the glasses off repeatedly and saw no difference at all, but hopefully it'll look somewhat better at home(as is often the case in my experience).

Is the figurine releases exclusive to Amazon? Or will it be sold in stores, BB or Target?

They don't have it listed as an Amazon Exclusive so it will probably be sold at multiple places.

I just pre-ordered the combo pack from Amazon. I'm sure the price will go down by the time it's released.

You cheapskate. That fine POA is at least worth $96.

I'll probably just get the 2D combo pack unless the figurines look amazing. Could depend on special features and cover art too.

since the 3D apparently was non existent, I guess I'll get the 2D, but it was obvious the last shot before credits was made for 3D.

I don't know what people expect from a 3D movie, but this was the only 3D movie I've seen since Avatar and I thought the 3D effect was awesome, especially toward the end.

??? ??? Um, I don't know where you're getting this from but every shot of Spidey web-slinging was sheer vertiginous 3D glory!

This was one of the worst 3D films I’ve seen recently and surprised as it was shot in 3D and not a conversion. Most films don’t need this effect but I thought it would be nice for this one. It is annoying when there are lots of sight gags but this film only had one at the very end of the film. The one gag would have been cool but it seemed unfinished without the web going all the way into the audience instead it goes halfway and retracts. Might be worth the few extra bucks pending on the various editions but I wouldn’t fork another $10 for the 3D copy.

I think people just expect something different when seeing a film in 3D. I mean me personally i think 3D in moves is used to add more depth and make you feel like you are actually in the movie so to speak. People are expecting something from Disneyland like honey i shrunk the audience or something where things are coming out of the screen, looking as if there 2inches from your face. Also stop comparing 3D to Avatar unless you have it on Blu Ray cause theres no way in hell you remember everything about the 3D from like 4yrs ago. From what i remember Avatar didnt have a bunch of scenes either where things were popping out at you. I just think people miss the whole point of 3D.

I thought the 3D on this movie was great, especially the web slinging sequences towards the end. I hope they expand the aspect ratio of the Blu-ray like they did when I saw it in IMAX 3D because those scenes made my jaw drop
