It just looks like that Tokyo Drift and the post credit scene happen at different times.

I wasn't reading too much into it but when I watch a movie, I prefer to watch a movie that doesn't decide to insult the intelligence of the person watching it. While I don't expect too much from movies produced by Hollywood, I do expect some common sense. I don't know, I just don't think it's asking too much.
[Show spoiler]In Tokyo Drift, a white car crashed into Han's. In F&F 6's post-credits, they just reveal who was driving that white car. It didn't happen at different times and they didn't change anything

This is what I've read too. I hated spoiling it for myself, but ah well. I've known the actor who would be part's 7 villain for months now...and it's killing me that everyone at work won't let me tell them.

Personally, I'd love Leon to come back. Did we ever find out if Jesse really die? But then again, Letty's back, so who knows, right? Personally, after seeing Vince in Fast Five, I would love to see the rest of the original gang back.

Given the premise of Fast & Furious 6, I really think the 7th movie could drop the character of Hobbs and move on. But who knows? We'll see!
[Show spoiler]As much as I've loved Justin Lin's movies in this series, I would love to see James Wan's take on the 7th film, especially if we consider that, from what we know, the 7th film could very well be a revenge story. James Wan is so good at that!

My two cents.
I met Chad(Jesse) at Chicago Comic Con 2 years ago and asked him that very question. He said the character is 100% dead...it was explained more in the script, but it got cut out or something. He said the way it ended he still COULD come back, if the producers wanted, but in the script it was written that he did die.

Did anyone else read that article back a month ago that Universal thinks a movie with just Hobbs in it could spin off? I think that's an awful idea personally.

Why? He's a US Marshall. Done correctly, it could be a very good movie. It just needs to be made correctly, with a good script, and direction. 'The Fugitive' spin-off 'U.S. Marshalls' is alright, but the problem was it didn't have a perfectly good vision of what it wanted to be. A Hobbs spin-off could go either way, but I really think it could be good in the hands of the right people. Hobbs chasing down career criminals, lots of action, a few ties to the 'Fast' series, it could work.

Could, but most likely will NOT. Your comparison to US MARSHALS is a great one, as it seems like that film where they took who they thought could continue with a sequel, but then learned audiences really only wanted Ford. I actually dug Marshals, but it didn't do very good at the BO if memory serves.

I think the FAST films work cause Walker and Diesel. You take that out, you get part 3 and the movie doesn't get the same buzz imo. IMO, The Rock just plays the same damn part in every movie he's in and wouldn't be a very good lead. My evidence is the awful Pain & Gain or Scorpion King movies.

He's different characters in almost everything I've ever seen him in. 'The Scorpion King' isn't a very fair comparison, it was his very first role on his own. But he's the best part about 'Pain and Gain', and the same could be said about 'Snitch', 'Walking Tall', 'G.I. joe', and 'Journey 2'. But that's just my opinion. I think he's an awesome leading man, and he's got a lot of fans. I'm holding out hope that it'll work.

I think a series of Hobbs spinoffs could work depending on who he's chasing, like Donnie Yen or Dolph Lundgren or Wesley Snipes (speaking of U.S. Marshals) or someone badass he could fight. If the bad guy's Stephen Dorff, not so much.

Your "evidence"? Since when your taste in movies determine what's good or bad? Movies are an entirely subjective thing, and what appeals to you doesn't necessarily have to appeal to me (I mean, I just looked at your movie collection, not my style).

I do not think Walker and Diesel are the only reason why these films work, I think these movies work because they are about family, a weirdly functional family and that provides these movies with what most action movies don't have these days: heart. It's something the first movie had, and the second and third lacked. I think they realized that and injected it back into the formula in the fourth movie. It's more than Diesel and Walker, though I won't deny they're important ingredients to the mix.

The Rock may play the same part in every movie he's in, but he's an affable guy, and that's a big deal. I think that, if handled correctly, the Hobbs movies (if they ever get made) could be a lot of fun. I would, however, like to see cameos from the F&F cast from time to time.

I'm guessing sometime in the summer. Maybe end of July or August. September at the latest.

Cool. Excited to hear some casting updates. Still wondering if Statham will take on the team solo or with a team of his own.

Is anyone interested in having Lucas Black come back? I think it'd be interesting. Really looking for to this with Statham. Going to miss Lin directing though.

I am. I seem to be in the minority of people who doesn't mind Black, so I hope he'll return.

Michelle Rodriguez Reveals
FAST & FURIOUS 7 To Shoot in September

Quote:
Michelle Rodriguez had to train rigorously for her intense fighting scenes in ‘Fast & Furious 6’. She said audiences crave strong female characters more than before.

If you loved “Fast & Furious 6,” rev up your engines for part seven.

“They just announced that ‘Fast & Furious 7’ shoots in September and will release in 2014 next year in July,” Michelle Rodriguez revealed to NBC Latino’s “Cafecito” host Feliciano Garcia.

While the franchise’s leading lady has been open about her desire to put acting in the backseat to pursue a career in writing, she pushed the pedal to the metal to revive her character, Letty Ortiz, for the sixth installment.

Source
Michelle talks about the pressure with filming FF6 and FF7 to begin filming in September, fast forward to 2:28 in the interview.
