I still don't think that I'll go out of my way to buy another copy. If the upgrade program means I could "upgrade" my PC version to the PS4, then that's not really worth it for me. My PC can run the game better than on the PS4, and I can play with my PS4 controller on my PC if I want. I like the option to play on PS4 so I can use remote play, since I found it was surprisingly playable on the beta, and the main reasons I'm interested on the PS4 version.

PC cannot get a free upgrade to the PS4; that offer is only good for going from the PS3.

April 11th is Early access for Ps4 @ 1am PDT at that point if you transfer PS3 to PS4 you can get in game.

I have nothing to transfer over. This game will basically be fresh. I do have a Square account in case I ever decide to pay on top of PS+ to play multiplayer.

In your opinion, ya think the retail is worth getting?

[Show spoiler]I have not passed on a single retail game yet for PS4 & my OCD is kicking in. Example, I own 3 PS4 digital games & their same physical copy counterparts. I even plan on getting the physical TLoU even though it's already paid off digitally.

With that spoiler in mind I dunno if I can pass on FF: XIV since it's already paid for. It's wasted mula I know but the digital was at least free to download + transferring games around with physical is much easier.

Unsure the current client from this last demo is the actual final game client. If so, then you should be able to access the game if you have an active FFXIV account. Logins are done through SQ, not sony, and I believe are only checking for a active game account.

I will check once SQ servers are back online tomorrow to be sure though.

I could be wrong here.. but I believe you just need an active SQ account to access the game on any platform once you have the client of that said platform. Game is cross platform after all, thus you don't need a separate account for each platform.

Square could be cheap though and make you pay $50 per client, then register each platform client to your Square account.

Looks like this is the case. Least it was that way with the PC & PS3 version.

Please check my previous posts on the subject for a full review of what I feel are the issues in the game. Once you get past the storyline you will have a very hard time finding it worth the money to keep paying 13 dollars a month for this game.

I updated my account from PS3 to PS4 this morning. At the end, Square provides a code to download the client from the store. Mine wasn't valid, but I think that's because I had participated in the second beta, which is the actual game client. If you have that on your system you don't need to worry about downloading it again. Just upgrade on Square's side and everything will work.

Just don't forget to transfer your data from PS3 to PS4.

I'd have to second this. Enjoyable game through the storyline. Once past the storyline, it gets to a point where you have a bunch of number crunching / parsing a$$hats that will ridicule you for your inability to spend 40 hours a week playing a game to be uber... but I digress

Not much content outside of XP grinding past the main storyline.

Just my two cents

Wraith I used a parser, trust me it sucked having to kick people because your trying to do X content and they are to undergreared or don't know their rotations, or they simply cant memorize a pattern and are looking for carries. I mean for god sakes how hard its it to dodge a line on the ground or stand in a straight line behind a monster? FOr some it was apparently very hard. So yes on M-W I had that elitist attitude, but once i finished I tried to help ppl, they either got it or they didnt.

That's if you wanted to bring over gear sets and key binds you used previously. If not then you are set.

Anyone else having an issue where the minimap overlays the duty list on the right side of the screen? It's really starting to bug me now because you can't read the top 5 tasks at a glance. It never happened to me on PS3 or the beta so don't know what changed.

You can change their size and position.

Ended up getting physical copy earlier today. Wow EB games had to call a few stores to confirm its release date.

Also they say Trials is out tomorrow.

It ain't the movie biz! How hard is it to track games. Better yet why don't games just release only on Tuesday to avoid employee confusion?

Deleted digital, installed physical & it needed to re boot a few times before getting to square account.

Didn't see expiry date on free month code. Will prob give it a go tomorrow.

Yeah I know that but it doesn't matter what size I set the text always ends up under the minimap. Never happened in the Beta.
