We regret to inform you that we are moving the release date for DOG SOLDIERS again…but hopefully for good reason. The new official street date is now 6/23/15.

The film’s Director, Neil Marshall, has recently found potentially better film elements for us to work with so that we can create a new HD transfer. In order for us to do this, we need more time and why a delay was prompted.

We really debated postponing this underrated gem again but we know that many of you have requested a new transfer (better than the previous Blu-ray release) and we want to exhaust every avenue to bring one to you. Once we look at the elements, we’ll keep you posted on the status of it. We hope you understand our position on this and we appreciate your patience.

I don't mind waiting for a new transfer.

So have they 100% confirmed it's a new transfer. I know they said they found POTENTIALLY better elements and they would keep us posted but was it ever confirmed?

Don't think it's quite that bad, but it has been delayed a couple times already. From OP:
"will be coming to Scream Factory as Collector's Editions in the Summer of 2014! Deal was just signed recently."

Not even a year late yet, but it feels much longer since first reading it (it has been a bit over a year since the announcement).

I emailed Scream/Shout about the transfer, and this was the reply:

I haven’t heard an update yet, but I’m hoping there will be news soon.

Our Scream Factory manager is out today, but I’ll be sure to ask him about this next week.

A follow-up email today yielded this response:

They’re still working out the technical details on this one – so there’s nothing we can announce yet.

Odds are probably not. I can't be certain by I don't think any Scream release has been RF?

Has there been any update on the transfer they're going to be using?

I love this movie, and would like to replace my DVD copy, but not if the picture quality is as bad as the original blu ray release is reported to be.

Nothing yet. I'd look for an update sometime in the next two weeks since they announced the two Sleepaway Camps' extras on Friday and they come out two weeks before this does.

Pretty sure the vampire lovers is region free. I don't know if there are any others. So it's highly unlikely that dog soldiers will be region free.
