We won't get a Phase 2 set till after Ant-Man releases on Blu since they said that's part of phase 2. So most likely not till around this time next year?

I just get the impression Marvel don't want to mess with alternate cuts. I would guess we will see that stuff, but it will be in a deleted scenes menu.

I don't understand how people have the willpower to wait. I didn't get the Phase One set because I already had most of the movies, and the same will be true for the Phase Two set. To make the phase sets worth it, you'd have to never buy any of the separate releases.

I thought the exact same thing, how could you wait to buy all these great movies just so you can get a set that may or may not be worth it.

Or you just sell your existing discs for pennies on the dollar and spend a whole bunch more for the box set.

Honestly, I told myself that I would not buy any movies until the Phase 2 set. And then I got each and every release. Self control is not my strong suit.

The main problem is that Marvel didn't tell anyone that Phase One was coming, so I and others bought the separate BD releases. Even if I held out to buy Phase Two, it would look pretty odd without Phase One to go with it. I doubt they will sell many of the Phase sets, all because they didn't announce Phase One in advance. I'm not buying the future Phase Three set for the same reason. If I didn't have any of the movies, I'd buy Phase One now and wait for Phase Two, but alas, I already have nearly everything.

Some got lots of extra cash/space to spare. And others have that collector's itch. And yes, some sell their. I kinda cant, love the covers and whatnot.

Ant-Man comes out in the middle of July. I'm guessing it will hit blu in October or November and the Phase 2 set will be out then as well. There is no way Marvel will miss the holiday season.

I've got both Iron Man extra features discs and the Avengers Target bonus disc in there, but I wish I could somehow get my hands on the Phase One bonus disc to complete things.

[Show spoiler]

What did you do with the original cases, keep them or chuck them?

Right.

People forget that the first Phase 1 set was due in Sept 2012 with a simultaneous release as the Avengers release.

Then they had the SNAFU with the briefcase and it got delayed till the following spring.

With Ant-Man coming out in July with a probable Nov or Dec release on Blu---they will likely have a same day release of Phase 2.

So at least collectors will not have to buy Ant-man twice and can put that money toward the Box set--- if they have to have it.

Hopefully it will have more of the artwork that the sleeves had in Phase 1 and it would be nice if the had decent promos for CA: CW and Dr Strange.

DVDWorldUSA also has a teeny tiny look at the Blu-ray 3D cover art.

I think that was fan made. The font of the "Blu-Ray 3D + Blu-Ray + Digital HD" label is not the standard font.

Doubtful. I didn't care for AOU at all. And I loved The Avengers. These ensemble pieces are hard to pull off which is why the success of The Avengers is an even sweeter triumph. AOU is everything I feared would eventually happen. Overstuffed but unfulfilling in almost every way. It didn't help that I didn't care where Whedon went with most of the characters. I didn't like the Hawkeye safe house stuff. That kinda ruined the character for me. And the Banner/Black Widow stuff didn't click either. Ultron was a disappointment as were the Twins. (The Quicksilver of X-Men: DOFP blows away the Quicksilver of AOU.) Even Tony Stark seemed a bit sleepy in this outing. Sorry but this is the biggest disappointment in the MCU thus far.

I agree with you that this isn't a great entry compared to what we have seen so far but its better than Thor, Thor 2, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3

Unfortunately, it's on the same list as those other weak entries. I'd say Iron Man 2 is the absolute worst. The Thor movies have their moments. Loki almost saves the day in both Thor movies but that Darcy Lewis character drives me up the wall. And Natalie Portman's role appears to be looking cute and doling out exposition. And I like Mark Ruffalo but he was kind of a bore in AOU. I'm kinda wishing now that Edward Norton had stayed on board. Oh well...it is what it is. I'm gonna have to get used to the fact that these Marvel movies will have peaks and valleys. Let's just hope we don't stay in the valley too long.
