Same experience as most here. Jumped in at 2000 had it in the cart and then could not go any further.

I have the HDZeta pre-ordered though through AsiaSteelz as some sort of recompense.

Heck, I missed both, so I'll have to make do with my Mondo and hopefully the German edition of the steelbook will eventually arrive.

Bad luck mate. I wish they would do more of a print run. Perhaps they will in future as with Plain Archive. The HDZeta wasn't cheap though. Near enough Ł80.

I've been looking around for a consolation prize because I didn't get the Film Arena edition and I had just about given up when I found the Spanish version right on Amazon.com. The price is $26.99 plus $3.99 shipping and it's coming from Spain so it will take awhile. Of course it lacks the beautiful full slip and other extras of the Film Arena version but the price isn't at all bad. I Cameled it and it looks like the seller has lowered the (third party new) price several times in the last two weeks from $54.99 to $26.99. Maybe because his listing is hard to find.

I didn't find it in a standard search for "Ex Machina" or "Ex Machina blu-ray" or "Ex Machina steelbook." I found it by clicking on the "Additional Blu-ray options" on the page with the standard blu-ray.

The seller doesn't have a stellar feedback rating (93% positive) but I checked and there aren't many recent complaints and what there are are predominantly complaints about shipping times. But it is coming from Spain. I'm not sure if it's Region B only but I have a region free player.

Anyway, when I bought it there were two left and now there is still one. I suppose I could buy that one and resell it but I've gotten so much help from others here I'd like one of you to get it. The page is:

Too late laz. I have a couple of film posters for the release, been looking for clothing associated with the film (nothing out there worth buying at present)There are even things like this.

All the makings of a cult classic if it isn't already.

Yeah I know it just sux you had to resort to scalpers with this being my first FAC and never heard of them before this title, I'm seeing these are very hard to come by.

It is unfortunate laz. But that's supply and demand in action. It's a very popular film, established cult credentials and with such limited print runs (although HD Zeta may increase their run with such high demand) it's inevitable the price for these items would be very high.

I dislike scalping but in a way thank goodness for them (so long as the price they charge is not exorbitant) as otherwise there would be next to no chance of obtaining the said items.

Agreed
Furthermore, there are many different types of collectors out there. I think I have gone through most This hobby is quite expensive and often depending on the title some buy multiples to recoup some capital and fund future purchases. In the end as you said, supply and demand will set the prices accordingly over time.

I think it would be more unfair to allow someone to simply add something to their cart, and then go walk into the kitchen, make a sandwich, take a #2, play with their cat, then get back to finish their order.

Having to be the fastest makes it fun, it makes it a game. Getting it into your cart is only half the battle. Finishing the checkout process is what makes it exciting.
That is how Mondotees sell their movie prints. Putting something in your cart does not guarantee anything.

So glad I joined the GB too. But the shipping is like taking forever there.

Having just seen pictures of the finished slip, I can honestly say that FA have taken a giant dump all over HDZETA. The slip is phenominal.
