LOL - the Amazon situation becomes even more silly. Guess I should have really kept that 25th Feb pre-order!

It'll be interesting to see what happens to the 6th June pre-order.

I can't see 4000 units being sold out. Probably Amazon under-ordering (as they've done for other collectors sets in the past).

I was initially informed of this new limited edition 4K remaster by Zavvi, and pre-ordered at once.

A big fan of the genre now dubbed "folk-horror" (look at my avatar!), I have all previous UK releases of BOSC, from the Odeon Blu-ray to the old Tigon Collection DVD coffin set...

Then when Amazon.co.uk announced, and displayed the [pre-plagiarism scandal] artwork, I switched, cancelling my Zavvi order, not over price, nor 'shipping' date, but purely my fear over their expected [delivery] packaging (unrecycleable bubble-wrap bags, which I detest unless used inside a rigid box), given the slipcase. Ironically, and in my experience, the Stateside Amazon.com has become one of the worst offenders in this regard - they weren't in the past.

I can no longer afford to make mistakes or order two copies (something I used to do often for favourite titles if they were limited editions), so despite Zavvi shipping earlier, I hope I made the right decision for me. My copy from Amazon is on its way, anyway...

The BBFC cert was posted by me on pg 6, and says Satan's Skin.
Is there another one in this thread?

The only BBFC listing under the BLOOD title is for home video.

Ignore him. He's just out to cause trouble. You could prove this 100% and he'd still argue he was right.

Here are the BBFC cinema era listings for Satan's Slave AND Blood on Satan's Claw. Note the different BBFC references (whether they are retrospective or appropiate to the era I don't know)

Got my shipping notification from Amazon and I pre-ordered last year with delay after delay. Probably take two weeks to get to me but I'm glad it's finally shipped.

Just a quick question for UK based users.

Has anyone who pre-ordered from Amazon had their copy dispatched yet?

Mmmm - Guess I shouldn't have cancelled my pre-order from the 25th Feb

I re-ordered last week (as I needed to change deliverer address to a locker). Guess I'll give it another day or so and see what Amazon does.

I got my dispatch email from amazon UK

Royal Mail they used no tracking and will take over a week to arrive

Amazon should be using An Post courier for customers based in Rep Of Ireland
Free tracking with text alerts and delivery in 1-2 days

Amazon UK and Amazon Europe websites have a contract with An post international service to collect and deliver parcels for customers in Rep Of Ireland

I had another order creatures from black lagoon shipped using iParcel that is a disaster as Fastway handle parcels for iParcel in Rep of Ireland and the new fastway driver for my area is not good

Amazon have a brilliant service contract with An Post it should be the only courier they use for Rep of Ireland address

My one says delivery on Saturday. Expedited shipping.

Could this be another screw up form Amazon

My order (6th June) is due on the 17th (Monday).

I get a feeling that this might be more Amazon fun and games - like the Suspiria Ltd (or was it Deep Red... memory is a bit foggy!), where a lot of people ended not receiving from Amazon.

I suppose it all depends on stock they've ordered in etc. I can't see this title selling out fast... but, if Amazon screw up, it'll mean an artificial bump in prices etc.

A shame HMV aren't getting it in, I'd just get if from there, rather than the hassle from Amazon.

I remember when a pre-order was a way to guarantee a copy... guess they were the gold old days, LOL.

Got mine from Amazon UK today. Number 1598 - 4000; pretty pointless really.

"Pointless"? What is — the big 'A' to 'Z' rivalry, the pre-specified limited run, the numbering of the limited editions or the particular number you received? Just curious...

Yeah, I get confused by this. If they're individually numbered, then 1 is no rarer than, say, 2000. Each to their own, I've just never really understood the desire to have the earliest possible number.

It's just fun, I guess. Like people getting #666 or the very last number, or their favorite one.

I suppose it only really matters if there's provenance. Does Yoko Ono-Lennon own #1 of the "White Album"? Has Paul McCartney hung on to his #2 copy? But then, as each of these owners and many of us know, and to quote Stephen Tompkinson, "there's other things in life, y'know, that's... more important".

Then again, my copy of BOSC (with added written prefix "The", and ALSO KNOWN AS: Satan's Skin on the back) has just arrived, in one of those unpadded, but sturdy Amazon.co.uk card envelope mailers (so much more protective than one of those awful, miss-sold bubble-wrap paper bags then). The Slipcase is perfect (hope I keep it that way as I've only got the one). I am reluctant to open it, as though it were Pandora's Box, but I can confirm the revised 'Skull' artwork and Linda Hayden's one eye [kinda fits after all, if y'all know what I mean], peeping out from behind the 'crow' die-cut slipcase design.

But best of all, my number is 15904000. 1590, the year of the North Berwick Witch Trials (East Lothian, Scotland), the "first major witchcraft persecution in Scotland". I have lived in the county for 40 years. Brilliant, just brilliant. Made my day, after just being turned down for another job.
