The films on last week's edition of The Film Review (cinema, DVD, Blu-ray and streaming releases), presented by Ben Brown and Mark Kermode (in the BBC Television Centre studio):

- The Batman
- Ali & Ava
- Gangubai Kathiawadi
- Best out: The Godfather Part II (cinema re-release).

There definitely wasn't a new edition of the show the week before last. During last week's edition and his review of the third film down in the above list, Kermode mentioned that "we were off last week" and this film was going to be reviewed the previous week.

This week's edition of The Film Review should be on later tonight (it wasn't first shown earlier in the usual timeslot).

The first showing of this week's edition of The Film Review recorded earlier..and it didn't (checked the recording and there were various news stores on). It's not being shown later tonight, but is on tomorrow evening and night.

The films on last week's edition of The Film Review (cinema, DVD, Blu-ray and streaming releases), presented by Jane Hill and Mark Kermode (in the BBC Television Centre studio):

- The Worst Person in the World
- Ambulance
- Escape from Mogadishu
- Best out: Paris, 13th District
- Re-issue: Chopper (the cast including Eric Bana).

Mark Kermode mentioned during his comments about Chopper that it was originally scheduled to be re-issued two years ago for it's twentieth anniversary, but was delayed by two years.

Worth mentioning, was Mark Kermode being sort-of dumbstruck by Jane Hill's comments about recent cinema release Paris, 13th District.

Is the BBC News channel dropping The Film Review? I ask, because I've read today that Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo's Radio 5 film review show has come to an end, and it's being turned into a podcast show.

This week's edition of The Film Review was on earlier, but next Friday afternoon/early evening a different programme is on in it's place. I haven't yet seen this week's edition, but I'm wondering whether the show is being dropped.

The films on this week's edition of The Film Review (cinema, DVD, Blu-ray and streaming releases), presented by Jane Hill and Mark Kermode (in the BBC Television Centre studio):

- Downton Abbey: A New Era
- We're All Going to the World's Fair

Think this is Mark Kermode's first appearance on the show since his and Simon Mayo's new radio film review show started away from the BBC.

Will check the BBC section on Sky's Catch-up service later, but this week's edition of The Film Review has been postponed to tomorrow (Saturday) night. Likely due to the UK election coverage.
