The other day i saw some of the avengers animated and they had the hulk pick up thors hammer and throw it at thor what is up with that i thought no one could pick it up unless they were worthy ant then they would be transformed into lika a thor. When hulk lifted it he was still just hulk.That would be scary though a hulk thor lol.

I thought so too but I was still excited when Hulk did it; it was just awesome.

Looks like most people are hoping for his traditional hammer rather than ax/hammer combo (which I prefer). I bet the detail will be awesome! There will hopefully be a replica that can be purchased like the swords of Lord of the Rings.

Actually, getting hit by a hammer that big would be just as grotesque.

Of course, I expect the movie to have the hammer hits much like the cartoon - where people go flying like they got hit by a massive punching glove.

That sounds about right because the guys he will normally be hitting with that hammer will probably be while not as tough as he is , except for the hulk they will probably be alot tougher than a normal human.

It might. Spider-Man is a more popular superhero than Thor. Kids love Spider-Man but I guess we'll see.

Well this is never going to get as much money as spiderman anyway, so it would be a smart idea to move it to a later date, (and will more than likely will, as two marvel films in a fortnight seems like a dozy idea, as they would want one film to be released after the final big weekend of the other.

If it was up to me, I would move spiderman to later date of the summer, and have Thor open up the summer, as it would get alot of money just by being the big summer opener, and spiderman will get a load of money because it's spiderman, plus you will get a strong start for a new franchise.

I guess it may all come down to how closely they can tie it to iron man 2 , if ironman is in it and black widow and maybe cap and all the marvel movies can be tied in to avengers closely it should do pretty good .

I dont know of the can move it much. I think green lantern and the first avenger are also out that summer.

It is looking like a crowded summer, like '08.

I think that Spider-Man 4 will only do a little damage to Thor. They should be fine as long as they get the right hype/advertising for Thor like with Iron Man; though, I do not think Thor will reach the same level of success as Iron Man unless he is in it as Thunderforce said.

I think a lot of the people who would possibly see both would se Spider-Man within the first 2 weeks anyway.

I don't see Thor moving again. They've already pushed it back from 2010 to 2011. It will probably remain put.

Well, to be fair, one is technically a Sony movie.

Marvel Studios apparently isn't worried about Spider-Man 4. I agree with Vegeta88, most of the people that will see both will have already seen Spider-Man 4 in those first two weeks.
