watched mine the other night, always a fantastic watch. The BD Live doesn't seem to work on mine (it cant seem to find anything to load up), but it works fine on all my other Sony BDs. Not a big deal, as all that'd be there anyway would be trailers, but it's strange all the same.

Such a shame about the awful cover art on this release, this film had some of the best 80's VHS coverart. I'm keeping my old UK rental VHS with it's nice double-sided sleeve.

It's always nice with a cool cover art, but I'm just glad this movie is out on Blu-ray... in a GREAT version! I just love that these rare and super cool 70's and 80's horror movies are getting such cool Blu-ray releases.

I was thinking on getting this, but noticed that it was the Dir Cut only, I remember seeing the theatrical version on cable back in the day and enjoyed it!

Which cut is better?

SHOULD I BUY THAT BLU-RAY?

actually I much preferred this director's cut--- and it's all due to the ending. The cheesy last minute "shock" in the theatrical cut is gone which is a good thing.
Also it has the scene with Tom Atkins walking down the street

Tom Atkins is one of the greatest "cult actors" out there, mostly in horror films, but other stuff as well, like "Striking Distance" w/ Bruce Willis.

I'm gonna pick these three up tommorrow at B&N as part of their buy two get one free sale (all are tagged 12.99)

agreed on Tom Atkins-- he's one of those actors that I like in anything he's in-- from The Fog to Lethal Weapon to Halloween 3-- it doesn't matter, he always makes the movie just a little bit better

I agree with everyone here -- this movie has everything. I've seen it three times in the last year or so (after completely neglecting it on video) and it's one of the truly great B-movies of all time.

I mean, we all know the splendour of Tom Atkins and his glorious moustache, but I actually come close to tearing up when Spanky plays the tape from Alfalfa. Then they get together and kill themselves some zombies. Awesome.

Just watched night of the creeps for the first time. A great film.

Only disappointment is that the opening scene with the aliens had player genereated subtitles when the original theatrical subtitles were written in a different font underneath the alien subtites. Why keep the alien subtitles and ditch the English ones for player generated ones?

Picked this up as a blind buy yesterday.

Wow, how did I make it this far without ever seeing this movie?? Tom Adkins really hit it out of the park but I also really liked a lot of the scenes with Chris and J.C. This was also way funnier than I expected and the humor/dialog had a very modern feel to it, probably more so than just about any other 80's movie I can think of.

The Blu looks really good too. Very film like without a lot of digital tinkering.

Awesome practical effects, brilliant dialog, fast paced and great transfer with lots of bonus features. One of my best blink buys ever for sure.

I wish they had kept the original theatrical ending on the blu-ray. I know you can find it in the bonus features, but the new blu-ray ending is not what I grew up with. They should have at least given viewers the option to watch the film with their choice of endings.

This is somewhat of a miracle release, with a long and storied history. After years and years of people begging Sony to release the film, first on DVD and then Blu-ray, the studio finally released it a couple of years ago to great acclaim. Extras-packed and looking great, the film is now a proud part of a lot of people's collections. I watch my copy about once a every couple of months and enjoy it more each time. Thrill me!
