Honestly I dunno where they would get em from unless they have a supplier that still has some somewhere but let me doubt that the C-100 have been unavailable for quite a while now. I would be happy for ya tho if they did have some.

Big Al, I dont get the gamble part?? I got an excellent sounding front stage for cheap and the Vega's are to big to move things the way i would like. Either way, i dont have a sub. If i dont sell them, they'll be collecting dust in my basement anyhow. If I sell them, I can get something id like a whole lot quicker. Also i have a buddy who did the Aura bass shakers, i listened(felt) them and I think it would add to the experience. Plus i know my girls would get a kick out of it. Im thinkn of doin one on the couch and the other in the middle of the floor where my girls play. For a hundred bucks, I think its worth it.

From the Tech Support...

Hello Michael,

I'd say the C-C100 would be the best upgrade. I haven't seen anyone selling a new one for awhile, but they do turn up on the used market from time to tim.e. The C-C10 is another option, but I'm not sure it would be a very big difference. Other than that - RC-LCR.

So now I'm getting different opinions. I guess I won't know until I try it.

All depends on the price you are getting those rc-50 for, it'true if you have them for really cheap I think you can sell them with a good profit specially if you have the same kind of deal you got on the rc-30.

Default 10.3

I got the floors scrubbed and RC's upstairs and in a makeshift home. I need to get the center in a good spot. I also got a Energy 10.3 today. Again nice and cheap. All I need is some good surrounds. Well im gonna run me and my daughter just put in "UP" and time to enjoy.

The speakers sound good. Only about 20 hours of break in, but doin well

Nice buy, you'll see how great this sub is. Bluray and I enjoy ours and it's quite tight, accurate and goes lower than a whole lotta twelves.

Give us your appreciation on it.

Default System mostly complete

I got everything up and running and blowin me away. Definitely, definitely hearing things in movies i never ever heard. And I really havent had time to play and adjust anything. The subs sittn in the same spot it started and rockn,(thanks Al, good recommendation) maybe i got a lucky spot or maybe ill move it and it will sound better. The center seems a little thin on some voices but i hear it takes a while for it to break in.
Question for you guys,,, My living room is 17 1/2 by 12. And if i set things up long ways and the speakers/tv are on a short wall, i sit to far away from my 50" plasma. Id like to do the tv/speakers on the long wall and then i would sit where id like but have heard that is not the best setup for sound and especially for surrounds. Id like to hear what u gurus think. I have speakers to do 7.1 but droppin to 5.1 isnt a big deal i guess. Thanks again and again and.........

A pic would help us greatly to give you options. As far as I'm concern I'm setup on my long wall but my room is 20x14 split into dining room and living room areas. In your case I dunno how it looks in your room, I would simply move my couch forward 3 feet since it would give some space behind your couch, it does not have to be against the wall.

Honestly I think that would be the best way to do it for you. Turning things around would not be that bad in 5.1 but again having speakers directly on the wall behind you is not the best either.

Here you can find a quick guide on seting up your speakers.

its is best to have the room setup length wise along the short wall. In my room, like it sounds with BigAl, that is not always possible, so you have to do with what you can. I would suggest that as BigAl said, I would only put your couch 10'-12' from the TV leaving several feet behind you, then using the Dolby suggestion for a 7.1, see if you can fit that into your space, I am sure you could.

I watched 2012 yesterday with my C-C50 set to +4, and my C-200 fronts to (-1). I think the sound is much better. I also set the treble to (1). I think I might hold off upgrading a center.

The C-C50 is a good speaker and holds it's own very well but when I upgraded to the C-C100 it really opened up the dialog and am glad I made the switch

No doubt. If I see a C-C100 around. I'm not going to hesitate this time. I'll get it!

if i could find an rc-lcr in rosenut, i'd probably sell you my c-c100 on the spot, but it seems to be slim picking for the rc series now...

Hey van, did you compare your Rc-10's to your C-500's yet?

i did, it was hard to actually move them upstairs to the extra room. they seemed to my ears to bring out a lot more of the details than the c-500s. the rc10s blended pretty well w/ the c-c100, but there's no doubt the c-500s blend more. i can't really say exactly what it was, but it did there were slight differences in the front speakers when watching dolby digital sources on tv. i didn't test it w/ a blu ray. the rc-10s though sounded great on 2.0 sources. when watching hockey last week, i swear i could hear the skates on the ice much better than through my c-500s(the broadcast is only available in 2.0 strereo). also, i could pick out the nuances of what the pa announcer was saying and what promotions were being offered to the people there at the rink, right before it went to commercial. little things like that were really brought out by the rc10s.

too bad i'm tapped out funds wise, else i'd probably really be looking into replacing my whole set up with rcs. but my current set up sounded great before the rc10s and continues to do so. i can't really be replacing my speakers every year or so anyway. so for now i'm happy with what i have; i just know there's something better out there that will have to wait...

I hate mine...NOT!!!!

Yeah, good buy on the S10.3 soulwreker. That will compliment the rest of the system nicely. Gotta see some pictures when you're all set.

Default I hope they can stay...

Things have been kinda interesting the past week here and the little bit of time I got to spend with the system has me thinking my tv looks better by experiencing the better sound. Weird, i know, but i swear it true. I still think the center needs to loosen up or break in more. Other more serious things in my life might take these away from me, I might have to try to sell them. ** Long sad pause**
But if i can get away without the horror of that ordeal, i will get pics up ( i might need some instruction on how to do the pic thing, not all that computer savvy yet). Id like to make my own entertainment for the tv, speaks, and gear. nothing that ive seen looks and holds everything the way id like.

Bluray, the 10 rocks! And if I could have one more, id be happy for the rest of my life,,, well, that and the RC surrounds. well, those and a receiver with some nuts. well,,, I guess this could go on forever.

I have the center speaker set to small, crossover @ 80hz and the towers to large with the "PLUS" setting so they and the sub get the low info. BlurayNE1, have you tried the LCR @ 50hz at all? Just curious where you have things crossed over at.

Peace out

Not sure what will work best for you but rule of thumb in HT is to set your speakers about 15 to 20 hz above their lowest frequency. Since the frequency response of the LCR is 48hz to 23Khz I would use 60hz and see what it does for you. I use 60hz for my entire front stage including my C-500 and I'm a happy camper.

BigAl, The Pioneer's crossover goes 80 to 50. Sucks. Id like to have some more flexibility. So id guess the 10.3 handles 60hz on down? I can somewhat localize the sub handiling up to 80 but droppin it to 50 is gonna be to low i think. All things im learnin my first "real" attempt at the home audio thing. I need more time with everything, Ive run the mic setup and thats it, not really played with everything yet. I was spending every moment i was awake at work finishing a car and it had a rockn stereo. If you search "2010 Goodguys give a way car" it'll come up all over the place. It got back from paint and me and about 5 other guys put it together in a week. Kicker donated all of their latest and greatest stuff and it turned out beautifully.

Sorry, got off track, did u notice the 10.3 break in after a while? Take a while to get the placement of it right?
