Elvis, there is a DVD cover on Customaniacs. There are some elements used that I would prefer not to have as I like a "cleaner" image on the cover. Instead of a simple conversion of the DVD cover, I'm going to start a remake tonight. I'll post it when I finish.

I have been through thousands of posts on this thread hoping someone might have produced a cover for

Has someone make a cover and I missed it or possibly the cover has not been produced.

Any thought?

RebelPrince your "Criterion" Disney covers are exquisite!!
It's funny because just yesterday, i was thinking how great it would be if Disney had Criterion-like covers.
By the way, I see the company has influenced others too..
My eye caught some Criterion-like Mad Max covers..

Here's a look at my Scarface WiP. The back is not done yet, but you should get the idea...

Nice!
But is it "loved" or "lived" the American Dream? (Don't remember the tag line)

There were two tag lines for the film. "He loved the American Dream. With a Vengence". And "The World is Yours" on his statue inside his house. Remember he got the tag line off the blimp flying over.

Just a great job Robert! The best cover I have ever seen for this film! WTG!

Did some minor changes to the Marvel set as noted earlier.

Got rid of the extra Marvel logos, and did some changes to the artwork. Still have to do some rearranging on the artworks so I can make more parts overlap with each other to make it seem a bit more dynamic. Still figuring out the back, and wether I want to put the technical info on there or just artwork, the latter seems like a better idee for the design to me atm.

Also got around finishing my template for the Marvel back covers, here are some examples of them in use:

They're pretty much identical to the official ones. The only difference is the digital copy banner, which I changed to a custom one. Been holding off on finishing the back template because of some of the smaller logos, which I redid in Illustrator earlier because I couldn't find any proper source images.

Variations will be worked on, though first I'll finish the main design so I can customize that design for the multiple formats/combinations

looks good so far, but your black colour on the front cover compared to the rest is a different shade.

RebelPrince1986 I was meaning to ask you:
Since you seem to have a very good taste in picking concept art for the covers of Disney Blurays, what would you pick for a release of Song of the South?
Browsing through photos, but can't find anything suitable..

My concepts don't look nearly as good as yours, Scorpion. I need to get to work, and make them look more like yours.

I did not notice that. On my monitor, they look the same. The front is from poster art and the spine and back are made from scratch. I'll take a closer look.

If you invert the colors you'll notice the difference. I didn't believe him at first as they looked the same to me as well, however inside of a simple paint program I copied each section of black and drew inside the opposite panels black and then inverted the colors, and sure enough there is a difference.

Default Scarface Final

I still couldn't see any difference in shading, but I did a color fill operation on the front in the black and hopefully that fixed it. Regardless, here is the final. Full res version is available at EuphoricFX.com.

This is not a criticism, just a question. Why do you guys keep the "digital HD" stuff on the back? I would guess most physical media collectors would be happy to lose it.

Here is a really quick mock-up I did...

If I were going to spend some time on it, I'd probably remove the ZIPADEEDOODA and try to work the film's title into that space somehow, maybe play around with the color scheme a bit, though I do like the orange and grey.

The problem with just browsing through photos is that often times, they're not great on their own or as is, they usually need some work, combining bits and pieces of several works to make one. Not always... the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas one that I just recently posted is obviously just the original poster with a few minor tweaks, but others, such as Snow White and Tarzan are built piece by piece, which is how I would likely handle Song of the South were I to make one.
