At one time, I was an astrophysics major in college, so, yes, I do have interests above and beyond those of the artistic creations of the very gifted David Lynch.

Yup, that's one thing that I miss when streaming. I do like the series. I still have to get ceiling speakers, though, but the rig is Atmos and DTS-X compatible.

You mean join the cool kids. You and all the "world is going to hell in a hand basket" old farts are just too inducing, but keep sending the birthday and holiday money that we expect from you.

Nah, it’s not cool skipping content. Not in this world or any other.

Going forward, I might only watch trailers... with my vertically oriented phone while enjoying a tofurkey sandwich. I'll be standing the whole time, too, to avoid the "ass" tax (TM by Octagon). I'll then be as cool as absolute zero itself. (emoji borrowed from he who must not be named).

Hahahaha! I stopped watching after the third episode. I don’t know what but something is bugging me without Schelle since the beginning of season three

You sound like another Ritalin addled youngster without the wherewithal to make it to, and then skip, the "penultimate" episode. Your generation has no "stick to it" ness.

I think for me, it is more about time than attention span. Which I don’t feel the latter is limited to a generation. Whenever I hear that, SJW or a backhanded suggestion I tend to tune out whatever is being said no matter the positive intent. Back to time. I tend to watch things of importance in the evening.

Whether it is streaming or digital. Simply because it is quieter and I no longer have a room to myself. I can’t set up my outdated home theater and have to rely on what my One and flatscreen can do. So that and several other reasons are why I’m not as hardcore as some or you when it comes to my viewing experience.

Hahahahaha! My 47 year old self would rather spend time watching something else rather than sticking to something that grates my mind all the time

Hah!, you're just another one of those who settles and compromises aren't you? Zealotry IS purity! Come forth and be cleansed in the heavenly 4000 nits of an 8K display!

[Show spoiler]I plan to watch only episode 7, but I will do so several times thereby restoring balance to the force.

Only 2 episodes in so far, but I have been impressed from what I have seen. I have always liked this character, even with Chris Pine and Ben Affleck taking their turns. I would put Krasinski ahead of those two, but certainly behind Harrison Ford and Baldwin. Nothing against Pine and Affleck as I have loved movies of theirs, so don’t go off the deep end there.

I am approaching a potentially similar situation as retirement is less than 5 years away if everything stays on course. As my wife and I figure out where we will end up, there is a chance a dedicated room will be difficult to make happen. Plus, she does not share an appreciation for a lot of what I watch, even if I am able to design and build another room.

Weird that I could not edit this post, but the last comment was directed towards any fans of Pine and Affleck and not anyone in particular. Sorry about quoting myself.

We've made light of it for far too long but your stereotyping and hatred of millennials is just as illogical and despicable as racism, sexism, or homophobia.

An entire generation of people is not out to get you and other people's choices and preferences are not going to destroy yours. Please stop spreading your highly prejudicial viewpoints.

Yeah, my original plan was to renovate the entire attic space. We still need to get the house leveled and the kitchen and master bathroom my wife wants. So it’s so far down the road I might be dead or my son might want to live up there when he’s older

You have to get creative without basements for sure. A big OLED and a bunch of in walls in a shared purpose room might have to be a compromise down the road for me with some of the options we are kicking around.
