I've been getting a lot of messages lately asking if I can print my Disney Animated Classics covers for people, so I thought I would share the option here for those who are interested.

I can print and ship the entire collection (all 53 titles – 50 individual covers) for $78. If anybody else would like me to do so for you, you can private message me and I'll get to work!

I do a lot of photoshop work. I just stumbled upon this thread. I think I'm interested in taking a crack at some custom cover art. Any recommendations on what movie I should do?

Also, I've seen multiple dimensions for bluray covers. What's the standard dimensions for a standard bluray case? also, what's the dimensions of the spine?

Thanks much!

Strictly speaking, there's no such thing as a set "standard" for Blu-Ray cases. Different manufacturers use separate templates, and each case also becomes thicker at the spine for a higher number of discs. I ordered my cases through the Casetopia website, and measured the paper inserts carefully with a ruler. After adjusting them to fill the correct amount of space, here's the results...

Viva Elite (1 to 3 discs)

10 & 13/20" x 5 & 7/8"
3190 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1520 px each, spine 150 px

Viva Elite (4 to 6 discs)

10 & 23/32" x 5 & 7/8"
3216 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1520 px each, spine 176 px

Viva Elite (7 to 10 discs)

11 & 1/25" x 5 & 7/8"
3310 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1520 px each, spine 270 px

Vortex (1 & 2 discs)

10 & 7/10" x 5 & 7/8"
3210 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1540 px each, spine 130 px

Vortex (3 & 4 discs)

10 & 23/30" x 5 & 7/8"
3230 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1540 px each, spine 150 px

Vortex (5 & 6 discs)

11" x 5 & 7/8"
3300 x 1760 px @ 300 ppi
Panels 1540 px each, spine 220 px

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense!

Is there a preferred style of case? Between the viva and vortex cases?

Vortex cases are better for spanning spines, because they're flatter in that area. Vivas are rounder, so it wrecks the flow across each one. Beyond that, its mostly a matter of preference.

Have you had these dimensions work? Because they seem really wacky to me. Like way oversized.

Nope, they work just fine, provided you have the right cases, and your covers are designed in and printed at 300 ppi. A friend designed a "Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy" cover for me last year, and it fit perfectly after cutting. That's a 6-disc Vortex case in the photos.

Default La Bamba and Some Others

Twilight Time did their usual "blech" cover for La Bamba, so I felt it my duty to try to improve on it...

These next three are really "semi custom". I often make a cover just to use the original one sheet art while using the back from the studio cover, if it isn't as bad as the front. I usually don't post these, but I think these turned out kinda nice so I figure I'll post them in case someone is interested. The Conan art is really nice. Don't know why Universal won't use it...

And of course, what would a week be without an Eastwood cover...

All are uploaded at EuphoricFX.org, or drop me a PM with an email address.

United Kingdom Doctor Who

BBC is not willing to release classic Doctor Who stories in season boxsets, so I just thought that I'll give it a try, and see what comes out of it. Seriously thinking now about buying standalone episodes and put it all in one box.

What do you guys think?

First I want to apologize for the length of this post but there are 28 covers to be shared right now. Second I have to apologize to the members that have PM'd me about these covers as I said I would have them done about 2 weeks ago and never got to it. Anyone that requested these covers from me previously and I sent a link should still be able to use that link to access all the covers. If anyone did not contact me previously about these covers or have lost the link I had sent feel free to contact me and I will do my best to get a link out to you ASAP. With that said here is my entire Godzilla collection covers. The covers are sized for blu ray sized Criterion collection cases and in the cases of the titles that do not yet have Blu releases the DVD titles are sized in the same way for the sake of consistency.

[Show spoiler]

EDIT: My apologies go out to the members that already have links to the album for these. I received a message from another member that told me that Imageshack no longer allowed direct links to the full size image if not a paid user. As of this time I have reuped the files to dropbox and any members that can no longer get the full size images from the link that they already have should contact me for the new link.

Also I have to apologize for these two covers not showing up sooner. Two different versions of Scanners sized for Criterion blu ray cases. As with the Godzilla covers anyone wanting them just shoot me a PM.

I really like that, man. I've been looking for quality Doctor Who season covers but they don't really exist. It would cost too much to hire someone like Nissen to do 27 covers or more. Would love to see you continue this project.

I would remove the UK rating thing from the side, though. Or at least offer a version without it for us US people.

Made the next one:

and how they look together:

I will probably finish the McCoy collection and then see what goes next. It will be difficult to do full season od Hartnell and Troughton cause there are no copies of some of the episodes.

I like it!! I can do without the Ultraviolet on it, I like to keep my Ultraviolet papers with their respective movies and since the paper is for both movies that come in the 2 pack I wont have a copy for each once split
