I got my mom to watch “Twilight,” and now she’s a casual fan. Thus, she sucked me into watching “Twilight: Eclipse.”

Continuing the moody emo-love story with mild gothic overtones, this third part of the saga has much of the same: lots of romance, lots of teen drama, blah blah blah. Guys like me (and likely guys like you) don’t really fall into this film’s demographic.

The good news is that this film finally does reach a climax of sorts (even though it’s still open for the “Breaking Dawn” installment). It has a fairly decent battle scene toward the end, which you’ve probably seen in the previews. It’s really only a dozen people on either side all brawling, and it is a short battle. It’s fairly cool, but also extremely moderate, for better or for worse.

These movies have always been about the story though, and now the character build-ups, the relationships, and the events have cumulated into a series of confrontations and revelations. There’s a three-way love triangle. There’s also a three-way territorial conflict. Characters’ backgrounds are revealed. Characters’ feelings for each other come out in full. And it’s drilled into the main character (and into us by extension) that she has to make a choice. So much drama, ohmygodohmygod…

In the end, this is probably the most entertaining of the “Twilight” movies. But like the others before it, it’s pretty long and melodramatic. I'll give it an good score, because it genuinely kept my attention and I didn't think of it as being that bad. But unless the fourth film turns out to be an epic timeless masterpiece (which is unlikely), I’ll stick with “Underworld,” “Blade,” “Hellsing,” “Dracula,” thank you very much…

Recommendation: For “Twilight” fans. “Twilight” collectively comes recommended to the ladies. Anybody else who’s interested ought to rent it, see what you think.

The Blu-Ray looked and sounded darn near perfect.

Plot (IMDb): A doctor fights the corrupt authorities as a masked Robin Hood hero, even while another martial artist/doctor is forced to hunt for him.

My Take: I cant lie i enjoyed this movie quite a bit. Just think of Robin Hood mixed with Killer Kung Fu and Good Comedy. Donnie Yen does an amazing job and the stunts were amazing. Some seems where a bit over the top but it made it very interesting and very funny. The story is just like Robin Hood but you get to see nice kung fu and hilarious little jokes.

Conclusion: There isn't much to say about Iron Monkey except that the Kung Fu is great and the comedy is also pretty good. If you're a martial arts fan or a Donnie Yen fan i would hesitate in seeing this. If fun and full of action and the AQ is good. Lots of LFE in the fights. Quentin Tarantino presented this to the American Audience just like Hero and i must say it was Entertaining!!
